Indigo - The Living Room
About the host
Description
In the quiet and quaint town of Siolim, North Goa, where birds chirping and leaves rustling are the most common sounds is The Living Room. Indigo is ideal for folks on a workation/ staycation, who want a peaceful setting with an option to hop over to the bustling Goa nightlife within minutes. The room comes with a bed, a cabinet, an en-suite bathroom, a balcony, stable WiFi, and a power backup. Guests also enjoy access to common lounge area, terraces, balconies, and a well-stocked kitchen. The Living Room is a 3 bhk villa with 2 rooms on the first floor available for guests. Both the rooms come with attached balconies (with seating) and en-suite bathrooms. The rooms also have a lounge area just outside with 2 more balconies/terrace, a tea/coffee bar, and a fridge. A spiral staircase leads from the living room to level 1 (the two guest rooms). The living room is the heart of the property. Guests can use any of the different workstations provided here. This is where guests can also have our warm, comforting, and hearty lunch. The living room is attached to a shared kitchen which is fully stocked with all important appliances. Guests enter the property from the living room. There is a beautiful garden on the property and enough parking space for 4 cars and many 2-wheelers. All of our guests have said The Living Room is very "tastefully done" and they've felt as if they were at home. We hope you feel the same! Besides their rooms (with AC, attached balcony, and en-suite bathroom), guests can use all common/shared areas. Just outside their rooms is a lounge area with a tea/coffee bar, a swing, 2 balconies, and a fridge. The lounge area leads to the living room which has many different workstations, a dining area, and an attached kitchen, all of which are accessible for guests. There is also a beautiful garden and free parking for 4 cars and a few 2-wheelers. There is also a (paid) laundry service. We create a whats app group with our guests as soon as they make a confirmed booking with us. This group helps with easy communication and coordination. We're almost always available by text on this group. We're also available on call in case of an emergency. We like to give our guests all the space and privacy they need, while maintaining our own too. One of the main reasons for us to become hosts on Airbnb was to meet interesting and inspiring people, and we are glad! We've hosted actors, lawyers, consultants, coders, activists, musicians, entrepreneurs, artists, and so many more people from various walks of life. We have our curated list of places to visit and things to do which we like to share with our guests to make their Goa trip worthwhile. The Living Room is centrally located in North Goa with most hotspots just 10-15 mins away. Anjuna, Vagator, Chapora, Morjim, and Ashwem are 10-15 mins. Baga, Calangute, Mandrem, Mapusa, and the Green Belt are 15-25 mins away. It takes about 75 mins from the airport and railway station to get here. Exactly opposite is Hangout Bar and next door is a liquor shop. There are a few more gorgeous villas and buildings around, but at sufficient distance ensuring privacy. A few minutes away (walking, 300-500m) are some must visit places like El Patron, Thalassa, and Oh! La La. A few minutes further (1 km) offers breathtaking views of the Chapora river meeting the Arabian Sea in between two hills, where Badem Deck serves great tea (perfect for sunsets) and local food like Xacuti, Vindaloo, Poi, etc. On the other side, just a few minutes away is the gorgeous Siolim Church, which really draws one's attention to it in the night owing to the elegant lighting on a towering structure, very unassuming for a quaint town like Siolim, with shops that sell everything you may need, even supermarkets. Two wheelers are the best mode of commute for Goa (except in rains). The roads are narrow and winding which makes riding preferrable. The Goa breeze really rejuvenates one on two wheelers. Driving around is also a great option, especially during rains, though, parking at some places may sometimes be an issue. Cycling is another option and a great way to become one with Goa. For those who don't know how to ride a bike (geared or non-geared) or cycle, Goa also has Pilots - 2-wheeler taxis - who can help with commute. Taxis are also an option. We have established contacts with many two/four wheeler rental services and they offer special rates to our guests. The space, Indigo at The Living Room, allows for smoking but we request guests to smoke only in the balconies and outside areas. We request guests to not smoke inside any of the rooms. We request guests to take necessary security measures so as to not cause any damages or danger to self, others, Blush, or it's furniture and furnishings.
