Description

Level Two Studio is a second floor studio apartment with a private outside entrance, walking distance to both the Short North Arts District and The Ohio State University. Walk to popular High St. dining and nightlife in under 10 minutes - OSU Medical Center in under 15 minutes - Columbus Convention Center in 25. The studio is in a vintage building on a quiet residential street. Parking is included - reserved parking space at the back of the property. The space This is a recently updated studio apartment (open doorway between the kitchen and bedroom) on the second floor of a vintage building on a quiet street, right between OSU and the popular Short North Arts District - walk to campus, shops, nightlife, and restaurants! The building was originally a single family house, like many buildings in the area - because of this, the interior walls are not soundproof and we request that noise is kept to a minimum after 9pm to respect our neighbors. ***** The bedroom has a new queen memory foam mattress and can sleep two guests. There is a TV on a shelf in the bedroom, with a digital TV tuner (no cable, just local channels) and a Chromecast, so you can watch Netflix and stream video using your own accounts. The kitchen has basic appliances and cookware - pots, pans, plates, bowls, silverware, glasses, toaster, and coffee maker. Coffee and filters are provided. If you plan on doing a lot of cooking over a longer term stay, please let us know in advance and we'll try to get anything else you might need (salt, pepper, cooking oil, etc.). ***** The entry door to this unit is a second floor exterior door on the back of the house. You will need to walk into the back yard, then up an exterior metal staircase to the Level Two door. ***** Other little things: *This is a second-floor unit in an early 1900s house. The unit is not soundproof and it's possible that you may hear other people in the building talking or walking around. If you hear excessive noise from other people after 10pm, please let us know and we will address it with them. *There is a door next to the bed which goes into the common part of the building (an interior staircase). You will not have access to open this door since we are finishing up some renovations in that part of the building. This door has a slider lock on the bedroom side, which we invite you to lock during your stay. Please unlock this as you are checking out. *There is a TV in the unit with a Chromecast for signing into your own streaming accounts and few local TV channels are available through a digital tuner (no cable). *We are long-time Columbus residents and are very happy to give you recommendations on things to do or restaurants to try, whether you are looking for a cheap & tasty taco truck or a fancy handmade cocktail! ***** We are licensed with the City of Columbus to operate as a short-term rental. *****. Guest access You'll have a private exterior door and private access to the entire studio as pictured. The back yard is shared with other residents of the building and you may see other people using that space. Other things to note Reserved parking for one vehicle is included. Additional vehicles may need to pay for the city permit parking system for on-street parking. For guests staying 7 nights or more, laundry will be available in the basement, between 9am and 9pm, any day except Sunday. ***Special note about air quality*** Two cats live in the other part of this building. They never go inside the Airbnb (and please don't let them). They are friendly and you may see them outside in the yard. We have been hosting for a while, and we've found that about 1 in every 100 guests have noticed a cat smell inside the Airbnb. Most people (including us) can't smell anything - but - if you are very sensitive to smells and/or you have cat allergies, we do NOT recommend booking our place. If you choose to book and then decide not to stay, we will offer you a refund for your unused nights that we can get rebooked to other guests. We do provide a Levoit air purifier in the bedroom to help keep the air as clean as possible! The TV does not have cable or access to any free live channels. It is a “smart” TV only. You will need to log into your own streaming accounts to play content on the TV. Registration Details 2025-1616
