Swallet Farm: Group Accommodation in the Mendips

Hidden away in the heart of the Mendip Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, Swallet Farm has been lovingly renovated by owners Jane and Dan and now offers families, and larger groups a unique getaway for short breaks, holidays, celebrations and events as well as business and training programmes. With flexible accommodation for up to 26 guests and catering on request , Swallet Farm is secret gem squirrelled away in the countryside, yet within easy reach of Bristol, Bath and Wells. The space Swallet Farm is, as the name suggests, a converted farmhouse. Our intention is that it feels like your home for the duration of your stay. The large stone floored lounge with fireplace at either end is the perfect place to relax after a day on the hills, in the caves or on the bike trails that the Mendips have to offer. We sit on a leyline and even have our own stone circle so there is a calm energy about the place. You may just want to come here to recharge your batteries and escape your busy life. Alternatively, we can provide quotes for the on site activities from Archery to Zip Wire. Off site we can organise everything from guided walks, taking in the history and beauty of the landscape, to off-road driving and helicopter flights. There are numerous riding stables and of course stunning country pubs. In fact, the renowned Castle of Comfort is a mere 5 minute stroll from the end of the drive. Our shower room with 5 cubicles makes us suitable for large groups, but also flexible and adaptable for family or friends. We have two meeting rooms on site so we would suit a corporate retreat or planning day. Guest access You will have access to all of the property and grounds at the front within the boundary hedges. Owners Dan and Jane live on site at the back of the property and will be here to great you on arrival and assist you during your stay if you need. Please be aware we have resident pigs, a cat , chickens and dogs who will not interrupt your stay but we ask you to be mindful driving into the property and please do not feed any of them. Other things to note Please not that we charge an additional surcharge for for guest numbers over 16 at £30 per person, per night. We will mention this when you enquire. Dogs are charged at £10 per day - Please mention dogs when enquiring. All dogs must be kept on a lead due to resident cat. Pet terms and conditions must be signed and returned on confirmation of booking.
