The Paris Room, is on the second floor of our large home. The dimensions are: 12.5' x 11.5' We are as social as our guests like to be. We are present and engaging but we're often on task. We enjoy sharing and educating about our animals. I particularly like educating people about our Arabian horses. We don't expect our "single room" guests, to stay in their rooms all the time, though, many do! We welcome watching TV. or Sports. We offer our dining room, kitchen and living room, as well as Laundry facilities. Accessed through our front door, then up 8 steps ascending to, The 2nd Floor Landing Featuring: > An open area, perfect for stretching, yoga or small free weights. > An Alternative open desk area, in case you would like a more open work area, instead of the cozy, private work space, provided in each room. > A service area providing, Kurig; Coffee, Coco, Tea, a Toaster, Dishes, Breakfast Bars & Oatmeal packets. ( For the second floor Guests, only. ) > Above the beverage area, we provide a number of games and puzzles! > A mini frig, for guests of our two, single rooms, listed on this floor. Fresh water bottles are always available in the mini frig. > A collection of Beach towels, we provide for the, outside, ALL Seasons, Hot tub and outside, Seasonal, Pool. ( The pool is open by May 10th to maybe Mid October. ) > The second floor bathroom, is only used by the guests, of the second floor, generally, 2 people. The bathroom has a shower/tub. Plenty of Face cloths, Hand towels and Body towels are available. We also provide, Shampoo, Cream Rinse, Mouthwash, Lotion and Hand soap. We request, personal toiletries, Towels to be kept in your personal space. Please hang the towels on the hooks provided so they don't sour. Our Metro Ranch, surrounded, by Parkland, offers, Outside, Games & Activities, Canoeing, Biking, Golfing, Hiking, Kayaking, Swimming, & Many Animals! We do have 1 cat and 2 dogs that are in and out of our house. Our neighbor, rents kayaks & canoes. If interested we're happy to share his info. We have our own Horseshoe Pits, Fire Pits, Trails and Exterior Pool and Hot Tub. Our pool is Seasonal, while our Hot Tub, is always open. Via by Car, within 2-5 mins, we have; -The, Fred Arbanas Golf Club. -Alternative Swimming at the Longview Lake Beach. -Trails, for Walking, Running, Biking. The Rock Island Trail and the 10 Mile, Longview Lake Trail. ( Also an extensive network of bike lanes throughout the community. ) -Gusto's Coffee Shop -Movie Theater with Bar & with Live Music. -Many Shopping & Dining Venues. -Paragon Star Soccer Fields Conveniently Located: 10 min. to Downtown, Lee's Summit. 15 min. to Arrow Head Stadium Royal's Stadium 20 min. to KC. Downtown, KC. Zoo, Go Ape Zip- Lining, Starlight Theater, The Nature Center, Missouri Town, Paragon Star Soccer Fields We' not close to the Renaissance Festival but every year, we get Renn. Fest. Guests! And we Enjoy Them! We provide, private, secured, free, outside parking. Guest access We have a minimum stay requirement, of 30 nights. We have a farm gate and once you are a confirmed guest, we share the code. After you arrive, you will receive a gate clicker. Enter through our gate and Parking is on the Right. Our front door, has a deer-like animal painted on it. Go up the steps and Enter - if we haven't already greeted you! The door isn't locked. Once inside our front door, go up the 8 stairs, you will see to the left, they will take you to the 2nd Floor Landing. The Second floor landing is a spacious room, you are Welcome to Enjoy. The 2nd Floor Landing: Offers an, Alternative Desk / Computer area, that is more spacious than the cozy cubby, Work-station, provided in your room. A Coffee Tea Bar Towels for the Pool & Hot Tub An open Area, great for Relaxing, Stretching or Exercise. The "Paris" room, will be straight in front of you. The shared Full Bathroom, is on your Right. To the Left of your room door you will see the Coffee / Tea Service area. The Coffee / Tea Service Area: Has a Kurig, a Toaster, Dishes, Breakfast Bars and Oatmeal Packets. If you don't like' Kurigs, we usually have fresh ground and brewed Coffee, in our, Kitchen. Feel free to come down and get a cup. We often share coffee with guests on the Deck. Although there are plenty of places for, "Quiet Time." The Bathroom: Hand Soap, Lotion and Mouthwash are provided. From the glasses provided, select your particular guest drinking glass, to use during your visit. >Body towels, Hand towels and Face clothes are readily available. Please, make a selection and... Please, hang them on the hooks in your room so they don't sour. >For the shower or bath we provide, Shampoo, Cream Rinse and Body Wash. ( A Shower no slide matt is under the counter ) >Also, Bath Salts & Candles are Available. >For consideration of others, it is easiest for guests to keep their personal toiletries and towels in their individual rooms. The typical number of guests, using the bathroom would be 2 people. >We do have alternative spaces available that have private bathrooms, if that is a concern. Just inquire and I will share a link. >Besides the 2nd floor, Coffee & Bar, there is an open landing room, perfect for free weights and or yoga. > An additional desk area, in case you would like a more open work area, other than the cozy, private work space, provided in each room. > Above the coffee service area we provide a number of games and puzzles! > A mini frig, for the guests of our two, single rooms, listed on the 2nd floor. ( More refrigerator space can be arranged if necessary. ) > A collection of Beach towels we provide, for the Outside, ALL Seasons Hot tub and Seasonal Pool. The pool is open by May 10th to maybe mid October. >We share our Living room, Kitchen and Dining room, Deck, Grilling and Garden areas, with our Single room guests. >When appropriate we love creating meals with our guests and sharing the costs. >Laundry Facilities, are Available >We provide, Free, Private, Secured, Outside Parking. During your stay Typically, we are as social as, you, like to be. We may chat but if your are preoccupied, we understand. We are usually present, managing the ranch, doing chores or a project. We love guests who like to learn and help out but we don't expect that. Sometimes it's fun, just to have company while doing chores. We enjoy going about our business and hearing people, laughing and enjoying our space, makes us feel good. It justifies all the effort we invest, in the maintenance of our property and care of our animals. We sometimes, coordinate meals with guests and share costs. We take cues from our guests. If they are social, we're social. We enjoy the company of many of our guests but we're not pushy and we're definitely busy people! I enjoy interacting with our horses & people, teaching people about horses. Other things to note House Guide Lines: *Please, no smoking inside or nearby. *Please use a capped, plastic bottle, with a little water inside, for butts. I call it a, "Butts Bottle." We're happy to provide one, if necessary. *Please, no butts out side, anywhere, except in the "Butts Bottle." *We try to take our shoes off at the door. *We try to keep a Quite Time from 10 pm - 10 am. *The Kitchen is closed 10pm - 8am *No Chasing Any Animals. *Drink Responsibly * Please, no Profanity *Please wear more than underwear, when out side your Personal Airbnb Space. *Text me at anytime, with a need or Q. If you need an Immediate answer, feel free to call me. Regarding CHECK-OUT: Usually between 11am-12pm I'm happy to take care of everything. *No need to strip the bed. * Please, no liquids or food items in the trash, they attract vermin. *Leave unwanted food items in the refrigerator or set them out. *Please, leave the towels hanging instead of piled. ( So, much easier to wash, when they are not soured. ) If you have Cat / Dog allergies, Please be aware that, though I keep the Cats and Dogs out of the private, listing areas. But they are in the common areas of the house. We love animals but have many of our own so though, we would like to accommodate guests with pets, we need to make a case by case, assessment. Should we agree to an arrangement, of course, a "pet fee," would be applied, of what amount, is to be decided. Note, with advanced notice, Rental Kayaks and or Canoes can be available.
