This peaceful cabin is centrally located in the Texas Hill Country, close to Garner State Park, Lost Maples State Park and Hill Country State Natural Area. Drive through the Hill Country on the Twisted Sisters, enjoying the beautiful scenery and wildlife. Close by, you can enjoy floating or swimming in the Frio River and the Sabinal River at the Utopia Park. Utopia has a renowned golf course featured in the movie Seven Days in Utopia. Concan 20 miles away also has a golf course. The space You will enjoy the quietness of the country while sitting at the firepit and watching the amazing sunsets and stars. For a fine dining experience, make a reservation at the Laurel Tree (open on Saturdays for lunch and dinner). The Texas hill country is a wonderful year around birding & wildlife viewing destination! We are in one of the best areas of Texas to see the Golden Cheeked Warbler, Black Capped Vireo, and many others. A recent guests told us we needed to advertise as a "birders paradise" as they had seen so many varieties of birds at our cabin. Guest access You are welcome to the entire cabin. Other things to note You can enjoy sitting on the front deck watching deer, birds, squirrels, hummingbirds, horses, foxes, and an occasional raccoon. Our small dog Tula will also come by to visit. If you like live music Concan has concerts and Utopia's Blue Flame has local musicians on most Thursday nights. You will be 15 minutes from Lost Maples State Park to see all the wonderful Fall colors as the trees change. The short 15 minute trip to Garner also has an array of Fall colors as the trees change along RR 1050 in the Fall. The Three Twisted Sisters roads are a a must if you like driving and seeing beautiful scenery but it has hair pin turns so drive carefully ! We ask if you bring pets that they do NOT chase the wildlife. The property is not fenced. We also ask if you bring a pet, that you do not leave them unattended. Please put them in a carrier if you do not take them with you.
