'Steppes' by name, steps by nature. This Stylish, spacious and family friendly property is accessed via a number steps that lead down to the river from the road above. Once inside you are treated to the most incredible views that span up and down the River Dart, right out to the mouth of the estuary. Outside there is ample space to enjoy along with the 'boathouse', sleeping 5 more guests and available on request. The property is also centrally positioned meaning town is just a 2 min walk away. Step into Steppes, where comfort meets style in this perfect riverside retreat. As you enter through the front door, the hallway welcomes you to an open-plan living area. The lounge, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, offers stunning views of the River Dart. Gather around the dining table that seats everyone comfortably, or enjoy extra seating at the kitchen island. The modern, fully-equipped kitchen has everything you could need, plus tea towels and a sundry pack to get you started. For a little extra space, head to the cozy snug located beneath the main lounge area. With a telescope ready to entertain the kids as night falls, it's a great place to unwind. The snug opens onto a large deck, complete with outdoor furniture, where you can relax and watch the boats drift by. Steppes sleeps 13 guests comfortably across six beautifully appointed bedrooms. On the main living level, you’ll find one bedroom, with the rest located downstairs. The layout includes three super king beds, one king bed, one double, and a charming cabin-style room with three single beds. Each room comes prepared with high-quality linens and towels to ensure a comfortable stay. The home features two spacious family bathrooms, one with a large bath, as well as two separate toilet rooms. Bathrooms are stocked with a starter supply of toilet rolls and hand soap for your convenience. Start your day with a coffee on one of the balconies, soak in the afternoon sun, and cap off the evening with a family barbecue in the Astro-turf garden. With its beautiful river views and just a short walk from the town center, Steppes promises a truly memorable stay. The main house comfortably accommodates up to 13 guests with the following bedroom arrangements: 3 Super King beds 1 King bed 1 Double bed 3 Single beds in a cabin-style room There are also: 2 bathrooms with showers (one includes a bath) 2 additional separate toilets For larger groups, the charming boathouse is available on request, sleeping an additional five guests: 1 Double bed 1 Double bed with a single bunk overhead (sleeps 3) This cozy space also features a small kitchen and bathroom with a shower. Here at Your Devon Escape we are local and will be able to assist and advise where required. The property is set right on the waters edge and is perfectly located for a stroll into town. You are just a 2 minute walk from the centre of Dartmouth with lots to explore. It's advisable that on arrival you drop off luggage and then park the car, the best option for the majority of the year being the Park and ride at the top of the town. PARK AND RIDE TICKETS - Top of the town Tickets can be obtained from the pay and display machines in the car parks or by downloading and using the RingGo service. Tickets bought at the machine on site are in two parts: one to show the bus driver; and one must be displayed on the car. All day tickets cost £5.00 or £3.00 after 2pm "All Day" covers the chargeable period from 7am - 6pm, overnight parking is FREE until 7am the next day. You can buy multiple all day tickets to cover you for several days in a row. You can download the RingGo app to your phone through your app store (Available for IOS and Andriod ) for free. You will need to create an account and enter your REG number and Card details. Dartmouth Park and Ride is Location 3480 If you require more than one day, you can buy multiple "All day" tickets for the same day and line the tickets up in your windscreen. Although this is NOT stated on the signage at the park it IS accepted. For example if you are staying in Dartmouth for 2 nights, arriving for example at 3pm on Friday, you would purchase one reduced price ticket, plus 2 full all day tickets total cost £13 ( 1 x £3 reduced day ticket and 2 x £5 all day tickets ) this would cover parking and bus use until 7pm on Sunday. If you are using the RingGo app, you must purchase each new "all day" ticket each morning by 8am - log into the app and authorise a new payment EACH DAY. Returning from Dartmouth after 19:00 If you want to return to the Park and Ride car park outside of normal operating hours you can get to the top of town on the Stagecoach South West bus service from Dartmouth. It does not stop in the car park stop. It stops at a bus stop a very short distance away in the main road and runs every 30 minutes from 19.00. Outside of park and ride bus operation times you can use your ticket or text to use the normal service buses or use a local Although the property is located right on the river there is no boat available to use. The property also isn't suitable for young children due to the proximity of the waters edge.
