Light-filled, comfortable 3 bedroom holiday home with two separate living areas, three decks, BBQ, and fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Located in a quiet area, an 8 minute walk to Venus Bay shops and further 8 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) to Beach 1, the only patrolled beach in Venus Bay. The space A perfect retreat for couples or families, our split level holiday home has a beautiful open plan living area upstairs with cathedral ceilings and leather sofas, a dining area seating eight and cafe doors opening to a large sunny deck with sunset views. Our hillside location and cafe doors keep the house beautifully cool in summer, and the pot belly stove makes for cosy winters. There is a split system reverse-cycle air conditioner in the main upstairs living area, and a portable fan and heater in each bedroom. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need including sharp knives, sandwich press, De Longhi coffee machine, stove-top coffee pot and plunger, filtered drinking water and dishwasher. There are two separate living spaces, each with a TV and DVD player, making the house ideal for families with school-aged children or older teenagers. For entertainment, there is an AppleTV with Netflix and Stan subscriptions, and SBS OnDemand and ABC iView loaded, free wifi, a bluetooth speaker and plenty of board games, puzzles, DVDs and books. For the beach there are boogie boards, buckets and spades, two beach chairs and a beach shelter. There are three bedrooms: - Bed 1: queen (upstairs, next to the bathroom) - Bed 2: queen (downstairs) - Bed 3: single over double bunk and a single bed (downstairs) PLEASE NOTE: you will need to bring your own towels and bed linen (sheets, pillow cases). Tea towels, bath mats, hand towels, pillows, doona covers and doonas are provided. You will also need to bring your own firewood, or it can be purchased from the General Store in Venus Bay or the IGA in Tarwin Lower. Kindling, newspapers and fire lighters are provided. In addition to the large upper deck, there is also a lower shady deck for warm days and a large rear deck with gas BBQ (gas is provided). The large upper deck has a table and chairs seating six, the lower shady deck has an outdoor lounge setting and the rear deck has another lounge setting and a cast iron cafe table and chairs for two. There is plenty of outdoor space to spread out and relax! Pet friendly: Well-behaved dogs are permitted in the house under supervision, as long as they are kept off furniture. The property is not fenced, but both the large upstairs sunny deck and lower shady deck are enclosed. There is no enclosed outdoor area protected from rain. Dog toys, bowls and an indoor dog bed are available for guest use. Dogs are allowed on Beaches 1-5 on leash at any time during the cooler months, but only during certain hours in summer. Refer to the signs at the beaches for details. A year-round off-lead beach is just a 5-7 minute drive away at Doyle's Rd. Other things to note As we are on tank water, please keep showers to a minimum to conserve water. Please bring your own towels, sheets, and pillow cases. Tea towels, bath mats, hand towels, pillows, doonas and doona covers are provided. The house is not equipped with a washing machine and the laundry is not accessible to guests. For summer: there is air-conditioning in the main upstairs living area, and fans in each bedroom. You will find the sea breeze cools the house beautifully when the upstairs doors are open. Venus Bay is already generally 3-5 degrees cooler than Melbourne in the summer months.
