Cottage in Minden

Situated on a point, with a 180 degree view of Horseshoe Lake from the common rooms, this quaint cottage boasts original charm with modern amenities. A wall-to-wall stone fireplace and stove keep the cottage cozy while you sip a latte or watch the sunset. Close to groomed trails, Sir Sams skiing, Haliburton and Minden. Included: paddle boards, canoe, kayaks, trampoline (with net), zipline, lily-pad, hammocks, fire pit, toys, etc. Enjoy the tranquil setting in comfort, surrounded by nature. The space This is not a typical Airbnb in that we know and like our neighbours, and care deeply about our family cottage. We like to share our property with like-minded people who will take care of our cottage as we would, and respect our neighbours. The property is sheltered by trees for privacy but has wide open views of the lake from almost every window. The dock was built in 2021, and is perfect for lounging, swimming, fishing, or launching the stand up paddle boards. Anchored to the dock is a lily-pad (a floating foam raft) that's a huge hit for kids and adults. The shoreline is a gradual slope with shallow entry, and minimal seaweed to be found. The umbrella is available as the sun shines all day on the deck until it's time to watch the sun set over the lake. Two fire pits, perfect for roasting s'mores, are on the property and can be used all year round. The cottage has two bedrooms, dressed with flax linens and duvets to stay comfortable, and a renovated bathroom and shower. A play pen, toddler's cot and high chair are available. Tons of children's games, toys, books, and puzzles for all ages. In the kitchen you will find a Nespresso, milk frother, Soda Stream, etc. to add to life's simple pleasures. Guest access A vehicle is required to get to the cottage as the nearest towns are approx 10-25 mins away. Once at the cottage, bicycles, walking, etc is possible around the lake. Horseshoe lake is connected to Mountain Lake and provides opportunities for exploring and water sports abound.
