Cosy Cottage nestled in May Hill Woodlands

Situated halfway between Gloucester and Ross-on-Wye on the eastern slope of the idyllic May Hill with views to the Malvern Hills, the Welsh mountains and the meandering River Severn, this 18th Century stone cottage has an historic rustic charm. With aspects of the original building still in place, this centrally heated cottage holds an old charm with added comfort and style. The space Thick stone walls and low ceilings give away the age of this cottage. Enter into the dining area with a large open fireplace setting. Modern kitchen and front sitting room with wood stove heaters and radiators. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs gives ample space for one or two families. Guest access Once you have wound your way through the lanes to find The Folly you will find plenty of space to park next to the cottage. Steps and a non step access lead to the front door. Other things to note The cottage is an old stone and brick building possibly the oldest building on the hill built originally for the local Rector. It has been owned by the family for 4 generations and we love it. We do also open up 2 Safari tents within the grounds of the cottage during the summer months for other guests under our business May Hill Woodlands, which we set up in 2020 whilst we were living in the cottage, but please dont be put off. They have their own access and have very little impact on the cottage itself, although you might see them come and go or hear them through the trees!
