Gorgeous Mid-Century Gem near Lake Roland

We are located in a breathtaking park-like setting in stunning Lake Manor, near North Roland Park, and one block from Lake Roland Park. The space is a two bedroom, 2 bath apartment on ground floor with a large great room/living space, separate kitchen and private entrance, in a large beautifully preserved mid-century modern home. The owners live upstairs, but the spaces are distinct, private and separated by a heavy curtain. Very little noise bleeds through. The space The rental space is an apartment on the entire ground floor of a larger home. PLEASE NOTE: This rental is NOT the entire house (2 FLOORS) - it is ONLY the self-contained space on the ground floor. We occupy the top floor and it is connected by a staircase, which is open. However, a heavy curtain has been installed around the staircase to ensure the spaces are separated and to provide the maximum protection, safety, and privacy for you. Please note that very little noise bleeds through between the 2 spaces. There was one exception when work was being done on the main floor and that was short lived. The bleed through noise level is quite low, and is similar to what you’d expect between rooms in a hotel. Please also note that there is a dog on the premises. She is very friendly and only stays upstairs. If any guest has dog allergies, the curtain separating the spaces has been very effective in preventing any allergic reactions, as our guests have noted. We do allow pets, however, please see "other things to note" below, about fees and rules. The ground floor has a separate entrance from ours, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a foyer/sitting area with work station (and Murphy Bed), living area/recreation room and a separate full kitchen that is well equipped and stocked with staples. We also include complimentary breakfast and snack items. The bedrooms are in their own wing. They are very private and a door can be closed to separate the bedroom wing from the rest of the activity in the house. There is a pull-out Murphy bed (with a full-sized mattress) available, if needed, in the foyer/sitting area/workspace. (Some fees may apply). In the large back bedroom, we also have a Graco Pack n Play crib/playpen (in the closet) that can be set up for a baby. The large living/dining recreation room has a comfortable sectional sofa, 60" flat screen TV (with surround sound and full media) grand piano, fireplace and bar with comfortable barstools. The full kitchen is just off the recreation room. The entrance foyer has a small couch, chairs and a desk and can be used for sitting and/or working. Sliding glass doors open from the recreation room, onto a very large stone covered terrace with an inviting yard and wooded views. The terrace is all yours, since we exclusively use the back patio. Below the terrace is a large level front yard with plenty of green space to play outdoor games. The spacious front yard has many beautiful old trees and foliage that provide restful spaces for playing and relaxing. We do not have a washer or dryer in the rental space, but we can provide a service (free of charge) where we pick up, wash and dry your clothes, and then return them to you. Guest access Guests have access to the entire ground floor level, which includes a full downstairs kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and a living area/recreation/dining area. The TV has free access to cable, Netflix and other streaming apps. Guests have a separate entrance (apart from the upstairs section of the house). Guests also have exclusive access to the front terrace with dining tables and a built in barbecue, along with the green space in the front yard. We have plenty of parking in the driveway. Other things to note We do allow well behaved pets on the premises. We prefer 1 dog, but can accommodate 2 dogs, if they are small. We do ask that you let us know that you intend to bring a pet along with you, when you book. Please also be advised that we charge a fee of $50 per pet, for the entire stay. Unfortunately, we cannot allow cats because one of the owners is severely allergic. Want to note that very little noise bleeds through between the 2 spaces. The noise level is similar to what you’d expect between rooms in a hotel.
