Le Gîte des Fées in Crévoux

This cottage is a year-round residence for artists hosted by the Fées d'hiver association, a digital arts center and organizer of a contemporary arts trail on a hiking trail at the Chalp de Crévoux: Le Parcours des Fées. The place is quiet and isolated in a small hamlet, the cottage is completely redone in a spirit of renovation with old materials: (stone, larch parquet, slate) in an ecological spirit, avoiding excessive consumption. The Gîte des Fées is in the heart of the Hamlet of Champ Rond with its chapel and communal oven. Independent, the spacious and comfortable apartment can accommodate 4 people. The comfort lies in the 55 m2 living room that opens onto an outdoor lawn. We have restored this old building to offer a warm home: so no more Formica furniture and cold tiles! The living room has larch wood flooring and opens onto a kitchen with local slate tiling. The furniture is either old or made of larch by us. Upstairs, the exposed larch beams give a warm touch to the 2 bedrooms, possibility of providing a folding crib. A bathroom upstairs, a toilet on the ground floor. WARNING: if you think you will find luxury in the TV or the dishwasher or the latest trendy food processor and other gadgets that clutter the kitchen, or a VMC (ventilation of modern apartments) you are mistaken, there is none of this, only what is necessary to fight against the superfluous, to taste different holidays, to offer you a setting that contrasts with the one where you usually live. We will welcome you to share ecological, degrowth and anti-consumerist values. This gîte is open to the hamlet, therefore to the life of the lively village especially in summer, with friendly inhabitants who will sometimes invite you to share their meal around the communal oven set up for cooking pizzas to share. In short, not everyone will like it! The stuck-up, the bears, those entrenched behind their hedges that delimit private spaces (which deprive everything), go your way, this cottage is not for you. For those, on the other hand, who love conviviality, who do not panic in front of the spaces of the unenclosed neighbors, who are open to meeting, who are simply curious about life and the other, will then find a paradise here. Make no mistake either, this is not a community life of "hippies", far from it: just a small happy hamlet, sometimes very quiet, sometimes festive. Sheets not provided (extra €15 double bed sheets, €12 single bed sheets). Washing machine and vacuum cleaner in technical room common to the 2 cottages. Cleaning is your responsibility. Bring your own towels. In winter, you will be charged for your consumption of electric heating. Summer rentals are from Saturday to Saturday. Guest access PARKING For everyone's comfort, rules are applied regarding parking in our pretty hamlet. The signing of this contract commits the lessee to comply with these rules. Faced with the difficulties of parking and congestion at the entrance to our hamlet, it was considered regrettable to see a green space dedicated to the sacrosanct car, both by the inhabitants of the hamlet and by vacationers. This causes difficult and noisy maneuvers. Therefore, vehicles will not be allowed to park around the cottages. Parking at the bottom of the access road to our hamlet is available (150 m away). On the other hand, access to vehicles is allowed to unload groceries and other items, or to allow access to people with reduced mobility.
