The space Situated at the 5* South Lakeland Leisure Village, the Water's Edge bar and restaurant overlook the lake as well as a pool, gym and spa, so there's lots to do on site. Also of course you are close to the dramatic Lake District, the rolling Yorkshire Dales and the coastline of Morecambe Bay. Take a look at the wonderful reviews we have received so far. You'll love the tasteful calm tones of the furnishings and will feel right at home in the gorgeous well-equipped kitchen. Our guests often comment on how the lodge is even nicer than it looks in the photos so come and see for yourself. Woodpecker Lodge is one of the few lodges on site with a fabulous new Hot Tub. The hot tub is emptied, meticulously cleaned and re-filled after every booking so you can be sure it will be in tip top condition for you to enjoy. The state of the art 55" Smart TV, Wifi, comfortable sofas and cosy electric fire will make you feel relaxed and at home on your staycation whatever the weather. The master bedroom has a king size double bed, wall-mounted TV, dressing table and an ensuite bathroom. It also has its own walk in wardrobe for that extra touch of decadence. The second bedroom has two single beds and a wall mounted TV with integrated DVD player. It also has its own walk in wardrobe, there is a really luxurious feeling amount of storage space for everyone. The generous family bathroom features a bath with shower over. Both bathrooms are modern and smart with big ladder radiators for soft warm towels. The welcoming patio decking area is conveniently accessed through double doors directly from the open plan living space. Relax on the lovely outdoor seating or take a dip in the hot tub and enjoy the grassy views towards the lake. Wonderful for families, couples, friends or solo travellers. South Lakeland Leisure Village is a popular, luxurious and well-managed resort located on the outskirts of Carnforth. It is the perfect place for a holiday as it includes a restaurant/bar overlooking a beautiful lake as well as leisure facilities comprising pool, gym, steam room and spa (payable on site).The site has a relaxed and friendly feel and is just a short drive from pretty small towns, great pubs, walks and some of the most beautiful scenery you can find in Britain. The location is easily accessible by car from junction 35 of the M6. The closest train stations are Lancaster (about 6 miles), Carnforth (about 1 mile) or Oxenholme (about 5 miles). Local taxis and buses are also available, please don't hesitate to ask if you have questions about the location. Free wifi and parking for 2 cars right outside. 3 nights minimum booking during most of the year 7 nights minimum booking during the English school holidays (late July to end of August).
