Peaceful large Room with bath. Separate entrance.

We've got you covered: easy check in, NO CHECK-OUT TASKS, early bag drop off or late bag pick up is fine. Mini fridge, coffeemaker, microwave, electric tea pot. Separate entrance. You will be the only person staying on this floor. You can also use the attached office. Feel free to relax at the outdoor table in the garden. There are 4 steps down to your room and there are some slightly uneven stepping stones in the garden. We look forward to hosting you! The space The partial bath features a shower and toilet. The sink is in the adjoining room along with a washer/dryer. There is also an adjoining study that you can use. The house is a 5 - 10 minute walk from many great restaurants, coffee shops and Starwberry Creek Park. 15 minute walk to BART train. 5 - 10 minutes to busses. About 25 minute walk to UC Berkeley. 10 minute walk to a bike share docking station. We have a cat. Please note that while there is a separate entrance to the downstairs, and your room and bathroom are private, we do pass through the common areas of the downstairs sometimes to use the laundry room, etc. Guest access Along with the downstairs areas, you are welcome to use the furniture in the garden to sit outside in the sun surrounded by our apple and citrus trees, kiwi vine, our beautiful bougainvillea, succulents, and other plants. During your stay We are always available if you have questions about the area, transport, sites to see, etc. We are flexible to your needs. If you are busy and like to be on your own, that's great. We're also happy to share a dinner or a glass of wine if you are here for awhile and want some company. Other things to note The bedroom is in the lower level of the house and there are no other bedrooms there. The room is large and has an East facing window. The office has a South facing window. You will have access to a separate entry to the lower level. We come down to that level briefly about once or twice a day. (but NOT into your room) Otherwise, you will be the only one there. You can feel free to use the adjoining office. The bathroom in your room has a toilet and shower but no sink. The sink is in the nearby laundry room. There are 5 entry stairs. Please note that the stepping stones in the garden are not appropriate for people with mobility or balance challenges. (see garden photo) We try to be flexible on check-in and check-out times when possible. Please let us know if you have special requests.
