We are connected to the rest of the State by a 21 mile bridge& tunnel. It is easy country living. The best food you will find anywhere, fresh seafood, 6 miles from Cape Charles. Street from the me are the oldest continuous court records in the Country, if you are a history buff you will enjoy the old courthouse and debtors prison. This house was built in 1937, my husband and I purchased this house in 1982, he passed away in 1985. I, added on Florida room on the south side& Kitchen and put in the pool and brick patio in 2004. There are lots of old homes in Eastville & it is the county seat, a new distillery to open very soon with tour and tasting. I would think that whatever your passion is is you will find it here on the Eastern Shore, from bird watching to deep sea fishing or touring around Cape Charles on a golf cart, bike paths, boat tours around the Barrier Islands, etc. come "home" to change& have a glass of wine before leaving for dinner & I would be delighted to hear about your day when you return (unless you are exhausted from all the fun you have had). Grill in back yard near the pool for use of guest. May use the downstairs shower when comes from pool if they like. Guest house is under construction soon to be completed. May make use of the desk in the den for computer use although there is a desk in the bedroom and a 42" TV (Satellite) and a recliner. Relax in the Florida room on the south side of the house. Keyless entry under carport. During your stay I am always available if my guest need, have questions, or just want talk about their day, or discuss where they where they might like to eat Dinner. I love getting to know my guest and hopefully feeling like I have made a new friend... Other things to note The Town of Eastville has lots of history, the old Courthouse, debtor's prison, the oldest continuous court records in the country. Lots of pretty old homes. Eastville is the County Seat for Northampton County. Only 6 miles from Cape Charles, 4 miles from Barrier Islands Museum, Kayak tours, Wine tasting, tours of the vinyards, free outdoor concerts every weekend. 42 miles from Virginia Beach and a little less than 2 hours from Williamsburg. In the other direction 1 1/2 hours from Chincoteague, 2 hours from the slots and Ocean City, Maryland. 4miles up the road is the Barrier Island Museum you should not miss this.
