The Charming Pool House sits on a unique hilltop property in the heart of the Central SJ Valley's citrus production. The views of the Sierra Nevada Mtns are phenomenal. The Pool House is a great jumping off point for many outdoor activities. Just minutes from Porterville, Springville, Exeter, & Tulare. The Charming Pool House is 40 minutes to Sequoia Nat’l Park entrance. 1-hr drive to the Sequoia Nat’l Monument where you will find walking trails, hiking, & Giant Sequoia trees. *No Cleaning Fee The space The Charming Pool house boasts original adobe brick construction from 1937. The copper roof gives it a charming, whimsical appearance. The pool deck is original red brick construction providing for old world cottage charm. Enjoy the relaxed beach vibe inside with the comfort of quality furnishings and decorations. The bathroom was recently remodeled with new tile shower & floors, granite counter tops and paint. Vaulted ceilings & skylight over the bed allow an abundance of natural light into the room. Mature trees and landscaping surround the pool house. We free range a clutch of laying hens and 3 roosters. We are located in a rural farming community so you may encounter a variety of animals in their natural habitats including our family chickens and wild owls, bugs, robins, spiders, bats & other country living wildlife. Keep an eye out for a covey of California Quail or a wild cottontail rabbit. The Charming Pool House follows the Enhanced Cleaning Protocol. It is cleaned and sanitized between each guest's stay. Sheets, blankets, towels, etc. are freshly laundered before each reservation starts. Guests can book with confidence, knowing that the Charming Pool House is a clean, sanitized and comfortable space for them to relax during their stay. We offer contactless self check-in for the safety of our guests. Suitable for 2 adult guests. Guest access The pool, the pool deck, and the surrounding areas are shared spaces between guest and host family. Our seasonal pool is available from May to September when outside temperatures are above 85 degrees for a refreshing swim. The pool, pool deck & lounge spaces are not private access spaces for guests. You can expect to see my family and I walking around the driveway, pool deck, and patio as we continue with our daily lives. We do our very best to offer a distraction-free, peaceful, and undisturbed stay but on occasions this may be unavoidable as we live on the premises. Guest do not have access to the main house or our open garage. Other things to note The property is in the nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We are surrounded by organically farmed orange groves. We are located in a rural farming community so you may encounter a variety of animals in their natural habitats like owls, bugs, spiders, coyotes, robins, & other country living wildlife. Keep an eye out for a covey of California Quail or a wild cottontail rabbit. Also, being in a rural setting WiFi can be spotty. For the most part, it is consistent and reliable but on occasion weather or external conditions interrupt the connection. This is usually remedied by a simple restart of the network which we are happy to do if you let us know when you experience connectivity issues. The are many mature trees, bushes, shrubs around the property. You should expect to see leaves & foliage on the ground all year round. Because there are large trees around the pool area, most likely there will be leaves on the pool deck and in the pool. The pool vacuum runs during the middle of the night. We do our best to clean, sweep & maintain the pool daily but we can't control when the leaves fall. The pool, the pool deck, and the surrounding areas are shared spaces between guests and us, the host family. The pool is available seasonally for a refreshing swim in the evenings after a day of hiking or exploring the National Parks in the summer months. The pool, pool deck & lounge spaces are shared spaces between our guests and us, the host family. We have a friendly kitty named Ringo. He is playful and loves attention. He is strictly an outdoor cat. Please do not let him into the pool house.
