We have a beautiful Edwardian (1910) house in East Blatchington, Seaford, 15 minutes' walk from the sea and 7 - 10 mins walk to Seaford station, 20 mins to Seaford Head. Close to buses. The bedroom has a vintage metal-frame bed, but comfy modern mattress; it's a 3 foot wide single. There's a lovely shared bathroom, 2nd toilet, and guests may use our sitting room and garden. Please read our policy on Covid. A 2nd, double, bedroom is available occasionally, please message if interested in both. The space We have renovated the house in appropriate period style and it has stripped floorboards, lovely woodwork, sash windows, pretty wallpapers and beautiful, mostly original fireplaces. The spacious sitting room opens onto the rear garden. Please note that the only bathroom is shared with us. It has a comfy bath with shower over, plus there's another downstairs toilet with basin. We provide tea and coffee, milk (dairy/non dairy) and breakfast (toast, cereal, butter, jam, fruit etc.) Vegetarians/vegans are very welcome. There's a pretty, sunny garden with table and chairs which you're welcome to use. Lots of books to read including local history! There is free on-street parking, behind the house. We'll send directions to the parking area after booking. Guest access Bedroom, sitting room, garden, bathroom, kitchen but NB, sorry, we don't offer cooking facilities other than kettle, toaster and microwave, and a bit of the fridge. During your stay We like to meet our guests and will never let rooms unless we are also at home. We enjoy meeting other people and have made a number of friends through airbnb in our last house! Other things to note Covid 19: As Jenny works in live theatre she has to be especially careful, as many performances have been cancelled because a cast or crew member has got Covid. If she is working at the time, we may ask guests to take a lateral flow test before arriving. We will also test, and if anyone is positive we will refund in full no matter how late in the day.
