The space The outdoors: Amidst a lush green garden with wild flowers and songbirds and in a well gated community of colourful houses lies a beautiful Indo-Portuguese style studio villa. The kitchen window opens up to vast paddy fields with flocks of birds grazing from dawn to dusk and the bougainvilleas dripping with morning mist. One wakes up to beautiful remix of bird songs and the ponk-ponk horn of paowalas hustling to sell fresh “poi” (local Goan bread) from the bakery. From the back porch winds a path through the garden, beyond the yellow house, by the lotus pond which leads to the beautiful Benaulim beach just 300m away to the west! Every corner of the property is “Insta-worthy” and there is lot to explore. The indoors: We have done our “home-work” and the studio is equipped with all living essentials, power and internet! The house has a full kitchen with gas/stove, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, water filter and all the cutlery. The interiors give a fresh yet soothing vibe with antique furniture and a comfy bed. The AC will cool down your days and warm bedding will make sure you get a good night sleep. The porch has comfortable seating to enjoy quiet nights and morning chai for unlimited chitchats with your loved ones. Guest access The Surroundings: The community in itself is a delight for visitors and photographers alike with little ponds and well maintained garden. Guests have access to newly made swimming pool. The community is home for other people and is well guarded 24x7, with helpful staff at the society office for anything you need, anytime of the day. There is plenty of parking space right in front of the villa and around (Please park responsibly) If you are not a “beachy” person, head out with a bike (lots of rentals nearby) and explore the real Goa that we seldom see, the Goa with coconut and arecanut plantation, pretty little houses just out from your childhood drawings, markets selling fresh produce and old artefacts. The area has good amount of fine dine restaurants, happening beach shacks and places that have become a cult (We are talking about Martin’s corner). Other things to note A note from us: When we lived here as guests, this place made us feel at home.
