The space Enjoy your stay in Southern Utah in every season! From stunning red rock to beautiful alpine settings, there is so much to do and see. We are located west of the highway between Cedar City and St George in the outskirts of New Harmony. From I-15 you will have easy access to Bryce Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon and beyond. Make your stay with us your base camp while visiting southern Utah's spectacular outdoors! We are in a hillside development in the trees about 10 minutes off Exit 42. We are at an elevation of 5600 feet, much cooler than Springdale and Zion, a refreshing place to escape the summer heat. Far from the noise off I-15, it is perfectly quiet here, a rare treat for many of our guests. There are few places you'll see as many stars at night as you will from our deck - day or night the views are stunning! The Harmony Belle provides an enchanting and peaceful place to rest while you take in everything this part of the world has to offer. Decks and patios surround the house with 3 acres of open space including a garden, lawns and native trees. Our home is large, modern and immaculate, you’ll have plenty of room to relax and you’ll feel very comfortable and safe while you are here. Activities in the area include: •Zion National Park – Kolob Canyon (10-minute drive) •Zion National Park – Zion Canyon (50-minute drive) •Bryce National Park (2-hour drive) •Skiing at Brian Head (60-minute drive) •Golfing at one of many spectacular courses •Swimming at Sand Hollow Reservoir (40-minute drive) •Las Vegas (2.5-hour drive) •Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City (25-minute drive) •Tuacahn Center for the Arts in St. George (50-minute drive) •Historical Sites, archaeological sites, museums, art galleries, and festivals - we will give you lots of ideas depending on your interests! A full breakfast is included in your reservation and includes eggs as you like them, bacon or sausage, toast or bagels, coffee, tea, juice, cold or hot cereal, fruit, yogurt. This listing includes a private bedroom/bath (with keyed door) - with an incredibly comfortable king mattress. We also have a fold-out sleeping mat for a small child under 12, no extra charge. There are three total guest rooms in the house. There is plenty of room for guests to read, scan email, play games or watch a movie. We have an extensive collection of games, books, and movies, as well as Netflix and free WiFi. Other amenities include an exercise room, sauna, and steam shower. You'll have 24-hour access to the kitchen. Laundry facilities are also available for guests. We don’t have house pets but will consider allowing your well-trained dog, just let us know about them, and be prepared to keep them with you, (preferably bring a crate) and on a leash outside. We don't have a fenced yard and there are lots of rabbits and chipmunks to take off and chase... Guest access We have a large home on two levels, with three guest rooms and three guest baths. If required there is a room on the ground floor with a handicap accessible walk-in shower. Please request if you need this room. We have extensive knowledge of the area and are happy to help you plan your activities. Guests are welcome to make themselves at home and use the full kitchen, barbecue, and deck where you'll enjoy our incredible sunsets on the Kolob Mountains. We provide a delicious and filling breakfast. Let us know in advance if you have dietary needs and we will accommodate you. There isn't a grocery store or restaurant in New Harmony, If you want to cook or barbeque here, pick up your groceries in Cedar City or St. George, (don't worry about oil, spices, etc., we have all that stuff!) and enjoy dinner on the deck. We will send you a list of our favorite restaurants in Cedar City, St. George and Zion Canyon. During your stay We love hosting OUR guests and sharing tales and travels! We are a very friendly and well-mannered international couple (Australian and American) with lots of travel experience worldwide, so we know what you need to be comfortable in our home. We have friends and family all over the world and welcome international visitors. We have an extensive knowledge of the local area and can send you off in the right direction to enjoy the best Southern Utah has to offer. We love to meet our guests and share breakfast or a glass of wine on the deck in the evening. We are happy to help you plan your travel, book day trips and recommend our favorite spots. We work from home and are almost always available if you have questions. Other things to note Our most important request is that our guests be mindful that we live in a private neighborhood. The speed limit is 25 mph, and slower is better. Deer and people walking dogs and horses are often around the corner! Smoking is okay outside on the decks. We are off the beaten path, about five minutes off I-15, in the foothills of the Pine Valley Mountains. You can hike right from the house into the Pine Valley Wilderness area! The closest restaurants or grocery stores are 13 miles in Cedar City, so plan ahead and have dinner or buy groceries in Cedar City or St. George before arriving. Once you've booked, we will send you a list of our favorite restaurants and lesser-known hikes and places to visit, as well as detailed directions. Please note we are an hour later than Vegas. You are welcome to arrive late in the evening as your travel plans dictate but it is best, if at all possible, to arrive in the daylight, it is much easier to find us as there are no street lights, and not too many street signs.
