The space The downstairs has been extended at the back to make a new fully equipped kitchen, which leads off the sitting room with dining area. The kitchen has a barn door which leads directly into the south west facing garden. The staircase is behind a door and leads upstairs to two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two full size double beds with storage underneath. The bathroom has a roll top bath, with shower head, though as the ceiling slopes a bath must be taken, not a shower. There is also a washbasin and toilet. Downstairs in the converted outhouse/laundry there is also a toilet. There is a gas combi boiler for hot water and central heating, and the sitting area has a large Jotul wood burning stove. The TV has an Amazon fire stick so you can access your account if required. There is also a selection of DVDs and a DVD player, plus books, toys and games. The village has one small shop/post office with restricted hours of opening. Large Supermarkets are two miles away in Beverley. The church dates back to the 12th century and there is one pub, which is less than 100 metres ‘ along the wall ‘ to the left! The village is small and surrounded by farmland, so plenty of rural walks. For the more serious walkers, the cottage has guidebooks and maps. The nearest coast is Hornsea, 16 miles and less than half an hour’s drive. The cottage is walking distance from Bishop Burton College.
