Tucked away in among 30+ redwood trees on the property, you feel as though you are living in a tree house. With a breathtaking view of Mount Tamalpais from the living room and dining area, you can finally exhale and relax. The most unique feature of Quoia is its 5 ft deep serene stone hot tub built into the hillside. The tub is large enough to comfortably fit 10 people. Enjoy in the morning shortly after waking, or enjoy in the evening with the candles lit and the sounds of the forest around you. The home is fully equip with all the necessities and many perks, including surround sound Sonos speakers, a master bathtub built for two, and a steam shower. Please note: We do not have a TV. The master bedroom has two king-sized tempur pedic mattresses, one in the main area of the master bedroom and the other in the "sitting room" near the gas fireplace. The 2nd bedroom has a queen-sized mattress with foam top. The 3rd bedroom has a comfortable twin bed that looks out into the forest. We have also added the option of a queen-sized air mattress in the living room, so with the air mattress, at most we could now offer space for comfortably sleeping 8-9 people total. However, please note there is a surcharge of $30/day/additional person due to the additional energy usage and added strain on our septic system. Guests will have access to the entire house, except for a few closets that will be locked that contain owners' personal items. The entire Mount Tamalpais is available to you from Quoia's location. Mountain biking was invented here, did you know? There are hundreds of trails that begin not more than 3 minutes from Quoia's front door. Stinson Beach is an 18 min drive away. Muir Beach is 15 min away. You can easily hike down to the center of Mill Valley from the back of the house (takes about 75 minutes). Or, downtown Mill Valley is an easy 10min drive away. Muir Woods is accessible by trails within a minute walk from the house, or you can drive to the Muir Woods entrance in 10-12 minutes (parking reservations required!). Check out the Marin Stagecoach bus schedule for daily rides to Sausalito or Stinson Beach and Bolinas. Besides the Marin Stagecoach, you will need to have your own car to get around. Though the home is pet-friendly, please note that the front and back yards are not fully enclosed. So, you cannot let your pet roam without your supervision. You will need to keep a close eye on your pet to be sure they stay close, or you should keep them on a leash or inside the home.
