Island View - a peaceful retreat on Trout Lake

Cottage Description: This comfortable, rustic, family Adirondack cottage offers spectacular views of one of NY State's most scenic lakes. Great fishing, canoeing, rowing, and swimming. Enjoy the main dock area with ladder allowing for easy lake access for swimming and sunbathing. A beautiful deck overlooking the lake is great for morning coffee or relaxing dinners while taking in the "Island View". A small dock to the left of the boathouse is where you will find the canoe and paddleboat. The space Come experience the solace and peace of this lake. Guests have said, ''we have never felt more relaxed and rejuvenated from a vacation before!' 'The lake is extremely clean and the fishing is awesome! Love the views from the deck overlooking the lake!' 'Can't wait to come back next year! This is going to be an annual event for our family!' A canoe, paddle boat and john boat with oars and a motor are available to tool around the lake. Guest access Guests have complete access to the cottage, the deck overlooking the lake, the docks on the lake, the raft in the lake to swim to and from and a boat house that includes some life jackets and fishing gear. Other things to note The water used in the cottage is drawn from the lake. It is used for bathing, washing dishes and cooking. Drinking water is available in a cooler in the refrigerator and also a large green water cooler outside the kitchen. We fill these up at the fire station in Edwards when they run out. The lake water is very clean however we advise you to brush teeth and make coffee with the drinking water from the coolers. Since there is no washer and dryer on site, guests are asked to bring their own sheets and towels. The beds have a mattress pad, pillows and comforter/blankets. The kitchen is full of basics like sugar, flour, seasonings, oil, vinegar etc. It is requested that if you were to completely run out of something that you replenish it. This is a family home and we ask that you treat it as if it were your own. If you bring a dog, please do not allow the dog on any furniture in the cottage.
