1950 Cherry Valley Guest Cottage 🏡🌻 The space 1950 Rural Guest Cottage! Cottage is completely furnished, 2-bedrooms, 1.5 bath - you will enjoy the entire private Cottage at the San Gorgonio Mountain foothills at 2,800 ft. elevation. WILDLIFE/BUGS: We are a rural setting surrounded by 5 acres of land. If a rural setting is not something you're comfortable with, this Cherry Valley Cottage may not be your best choice. You may hear coyote at night, our rooster, and the local roosters, who love to greet the day. We've been known to have a bobcat or two roam around at night.  We have horned owls, who sometimes hoot their songs during the night. A donkey lives a few acres away and sometimes likes to sing his hee haw hee haw song! All these events are just part of the charm of being away from the city and enjoying our peaceful piece of paradise. AND, although we attempt to keep our Cottages immaculate, you May See a Bug! If the sight of a bug or spider is upsetting to you, this may not be the setting for you! We pay $150 housekeeping fee for cleaning between every guests arrival, as well as $150 a month for organic bug spraying.. We try to stay away from poisons on the property and do our best to use organic ways to keep the country critters/insects at bay, but once in awhile they will pack up their families and try to move in! So if an earwig sneaks in just send him/her back out the door! 😊🏡🌻 KITCHEN: A fully-equipped original 1950 Youngstown Kitchen with pots, pans, glasses, dishes, towels, plates, bowls, utensils, etc., are all available for your use. Bring groceries before your arrival and enjoy home-cooked meals prepared right in your own Guest Cottage kitchen! Also, you will find a self-serve breakfast in the refrigerator, provided once on your first day, and may include some or all of the following: our own fresh eggs (a gift from our pasture-raised hens) butter, coffee, and fresh cream. Plus, feel free to use any of the items in the cupboards, additional items in the refrigerator, and the full stock of fresh spices. In addition, we have wonderful restaurants very close by to the Cottage for your dining-out pleasure. FIRE/STREAMING TV: Guests can log into their personal accounts. We also offer complimentary Frontier FIOS WIFI during your stay. NON-SMOKING COTTAGE/PROPERTY: Guest is liable, and for any guest they invite into the Cottage, during Airbnb rental agreement to keep it smoke-free. CLEANING FEE: No Cleaning Fee Charged to Guests staying two days (currently.. ) and if you check other listings, I'm sure you will find this is very rare in this industry. The Guest Cottage is cleaned, at $150 between each Guest: fresh linens/towels, floors mopped, bathrooms, etc. I have had a hand-full of guests who have not treated the Cottage as it deserves (even though they left awesome reviews of how much they loved it!) and I do not want to charge a cleaning fee to my guests as this website has its own fees they have to charge over and above what I receive... so thank you for your consideration regarding this issue! If Cottage is left in disarray - dirty dishes, pup fur on furniture, trash left strewn, food on counters, etc., we will charge a $79+ fee from guest deposit. SURROUNDINGS: The Guest Cottage is 30 miles from Palm Springs. The Living Desert Museum is a bit further east. Twenty minutes west is the historic town of Redlands; less than 50 miles from Big Bear Lake, with Forest Falls just 20 miles away; and 15 minutes to the tranquil mountain town of Oak Glen, with excellent hiking trails! Plus, we are less than 50 miles west of the incredible Joshua Tree National Park! which makes for a fabulous day trip. Guest access guests may walk around the entire property. please leave the horse acre gate closed at all times. and kindly do not enter the chicken acre unless prior approval is given. thank you. Other things to note Enjoy your stay! Please note if you're wondering why I have a 4.96 rating instead of a 5 across the board, that is because of a few guests who have booked the Cottage, picking the location exactly from the map with a very small circle, and then they say the location was very remote! Well, they picked it, to go to a wedding, 3 miles away up the mountain. Frustrating. We love our rural setting, far away enough to feel the peaceful environment, but close enough to get to the freeway if needed! If you are bringing your pup with you, and only if agreed before secured reservation, note that I am also a 5-star Super Host at Sniffspot, a website where locals rent their yards and private land to dog owners where the pups can run free, supervised by owner, unleashed in our fully enclosed one acre field right behind the Guest Cottage. If you wish to utilize this space during your stay, please let me know at least a day in advance and I will ensure it is blocked for your use, free of charge to my booked guests! 10089 Fabulous Furry Family Members/Pup Policy: I do allow pups. I ask that guests please bring their own pet supplies: crate, bedding, toys, sheets, food/water bowls, and a rag to clean paws before entering the Cottage. We ask that our Furry Friends do not jump up on furniture, beds, chairs, etc. and that they use their own bedding. If you find it absolutely necessary to have pets on the furniture/beds, please cover all furniture with your own sheets. Thank you! If you plan on being away from the Guest Cottage without your pet, please bring your own pup crate as to ensure the safety of your pet, and the property, during your absence. Thank you for your understanding! We Love pups!! We have a Siberian Husky, and an Alaskan Malamute!! so we know about Fabulous Furry Family Members! Please pick up all pet waste daily, bag and tie tightly, and place outside of your Guest Cottage to dry out, then deposit in the black waste container out front at the main Cottage driveway.
