Adjacent to Downtown Brooklyn, close to 11 subway lines and the Long Island RailRoad, good restaurants, shopping and BAM and the Barclays Center The space  LOCATION: Our carefully restored and renovated home, which dating back to 1872, is located in the heart of tree-lined, historic Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, a low-rise, family neighborhood.  BEDROOM: Sunny, garden floor queen bed equipped with a wardrobe, large dresser, desk, writing table and small refrigerator. Adjacent full bathroom is shared with other guest room.  BREAKFAST+KITCHEN+LAUNDRY: During your stay, we will provide a bagel breakfast daily; you are welcome to use our cook’s kitchen for your other meals. Our washer and dryer are also available for your use.  LOCAL AMENITIES: Vibrant central location adjacent to Downtown Brooklyn, close to stations for 11 subway lines and the Long Island Rail Road. So getting anywhere else from here is a breeze.  Nearby Brooklyn attractions include a wide choice of interesting restaurants and good locally-supported shopping, particularly on nearby Smith Street and Atlantic Avenue. We are a few blocks from the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), Barclays Center arena (the Brooklyn Nets), Signature Theatre, Roulette, the Citypoint food hall and three movie theaters. DUMBO and the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge walkways/bicycle paths are about 25 minutes away by foot The Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge walkways/bicycle paths are about 25 minutes away. The Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Garden and Prospect Park are reachable by bus or are a little over a half hour walk. Bike-sharing stands are nearby. Guest access Our Brooklyn home can become part of your New York City experience. Between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM you may join us upstairs in the kitchen for a morning cup of coffee, tea and breakfast. Weather permitting sit on the terrace or in the garden. The washer and dryer are near your room--just let us know. During your stay This is part of our home, so we'll usually be around to greet you and see that you are settled. Importantly, feel free to interact with us or not. We will respect your privacy. Ann and Allen Iove hosting and sharing, so everything (almost) will be done to make your stay in the City comfortable and memorable. We are a two-family dwelling permitted for short-term rental under New York State law.  HOUSE RULES: • No smoking anywhere • No parties or gatherings • Every adult guest should please sign in the Guest Register on arrival. Extra guests not allowed • No pets (We have no pets.) • Quiet hours 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Respect our check-in/check-our times (we can store your luggage) • Eating only upstairs in the kitchen please.  PARKING; Since some guests have asked about parking, this is the situation. We now have a significant parking shortage, so It can be difficult. Like almost all of our neighbors, we have no on-premises parking and we are adjacent to the Downtown Brooklyn business district. While on-street parking certainly is possible, it often takes strategic timing. There are paid parking garages and lots nearby. The nearest 24/7 lot is four+ blocks away on the southern side of Schermerhorn Street at the corner of Hoyt Street. (Unfortunately the rates are quite high, e.g., as much as $30 a day.)
