A charming 110 years old Kitsilano Craftsman House, in a quiet residential area yet 2 blocks away from Broadway shopping area, resturants and public transportation; the beach is only 10 blocks away. The space **** IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ ***** Availability Please contact us to double check if dates you d like to book are available on calendar but you can not book them. Please read the full listing description and House Rules carefully to ensure this home is a good fit before sending an inquiry or making a booking. If you make a booking, you will be required to copy and paste the indicated message found in the House Rules section to confirm that you agree to the House Rules and Cancellation Policy. Failure to provide this confirmation within 24 hours will regrettably result in cancellation of the booking. ‐----------------------------- We live in this beautiful home and only rent it when we are traveling, which is typically once or twice per year. The ground level of the house is fully independent from the main home upstairs and is occupied by long-term tenants. The house is ideally suited for a maximum of 6–7 guests. We only accept bookings from families and/or related couples, such as parents with their adult children, or a couple with children. We do not accept bookings from unrelated groups. Sleeping arrangements The house has three bedrooms: Two bedrooms each have one double bed The third bedroom has one double bed and one twin bed Guests should be comfortable sharing beds (two guests per bed). If booking for 7 guests, three guests will be sharing one bedroom. The home You will have 2.5 stories entirely to yourself. The house is eclectically decorated and full of character, featuring heritage details such as: High and coffered ceilings in most rooms An exposed brick chimney wall A wood-burning fireplace Main floor The main floor includes: A large living room A craftsman-style dining room A fully stocked, renovated kitchen A powder room The kitchen opens onto a beautiful deck overlooking our backyard. Please note: deck furniture and the BBQ are available May through September only, as the deck is uncovered. Second floor The second floor features: A primary bedroom with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom A second bedroom with a double bed A second, newly updated and charming full bathroom Top floor Above the second floor is a newly renovated third bedroom/den. This space has lower attic ceilings (approximately 6 ft at the peak in some areas and 7 ft in others) and includes: An ensuite two-piece bathroom A double sofa bed (set up as a bed) A desk/workspace * Important notes There is one additional bedroom in the house that is locked and not accessible to guests. Guest access Parking is free infront of our house for as long as you wish, provided the spot is not taken. Otherwise, read house rules parking section if parking anywhere else on the block. Public transportation is just around the corner and you can absolutely do with no car! Other things to note Past the door to the basement and stairs down to the Laundry room on the ground level is considered a share space. Both our house cleaner and tenants who live in the basement suite access these areas. Please notify us if you need to use the laundry room on a certain date so that we organize the date with tenants and/or cleaner so that not to use it at the same time.
