It offers a relaxing place that allows you to completely switch off and unwind at the end of a busy day. There is a solid wood double bed with a top quality mattress and comfortably sleeps 2. The room can accommodate a third person on a floor small narrow floor mattress which can be set up on request, an additional cost applies when booking for 3. Pillows are hypoallergenic/allergy free. There are 2 double sockets in the room for your own appliances. Some wardrobe space is available. The additional study area is located outside the double room on the first floor. There is a clothesline for clothes drying on the patio, with a laundry basket and pegs available in the kitchen. In winter, wet clothes can be dried on the downstairs and first-floor radiators when the heating is on. There is a large raised patio area accessible from the kitchen and also from the driveway through the back gate, handy if bringing bicycles. FREE parking is available on the road. If you specifically need to park on our drive please request in advance as one space can be made available for an average size car. The patio can be used for outdoor dining and is furnished with bistro tables and chairs and wooden patio furniture. Two recliners are also available on request for outdoor relaxation on warmer days. The shared kitchen is available to use, with kettle, sandwich toaster, microwave, cooker, fridge-freezer, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses, and washing machine. On occasion, there is also access to the shared living room with TV and the front room dining space when these rooms are not booked. A light breakfast of cereals, porridge, fruit, bread/toast, jams, tea & coffee is included. These are provided self-service style from the kitchen for you to make your own breakfast. The front room can also sometimes be used for breakfast dining when available. Please notify of any special dietary requirements/allergies etc in advance. The garden and patio areas are free to use anytime. Outdoor tables, chairs and parasols are available in the garden for relaxing and dining in sun or shade. Two comfy recliners are available on request. During your stay As much or as little as required. This would be down to the visitor to communicate on arrival. Ann will meet you at her home. She can be available throughout your stay either face to face or on the phone should you have any questions about your stay or the local area. You can enjoy the peace and quiet or share conversation and the odd cuppa. The homeowner works from home so interaction will vary depending on freelance working commitments. Other things to note A double drive space is shared with the neighbours. There are free parking spaces for two cars on the driveway, one space available for guests visiting, and free on-street parking for further cars. All guests have access to the facilities of the house during their stay including washing facilities if required (no tumble dryer), there's a clothesline on the patio and radiators are usually on and available in winter for clothes drying when the weather is less favourable. Please note prices for certain dates fluctuate during the seasons when demand is high, particularly when cricket matches, national water sports and other local sporting events are being staged as they are all within walking distance.
