Tailgator.....A Quiet Santa Fe Riverfront Home..

Our home is located in North Florida between High Springs and Fort White on the Santa Fe river....about 25 minutes north of Gainesville. In reference to where you will be on the river, this quiet home is between the Itchetucknee River and Ginnie Springs. The space We have 7 kayaks you can launch from our own private small launch and dock. Or, if you have a larger boat, there is a brand new boat launch less than a quarter mile away. You can drive to either High Springs or Fort White within 15 minutes and to Gainesville, home of the Florida Gators, in about 25 minutes. Perfect spot for lots of fishing and boating while waiting to go to a big game. Our home is on five acres. If you or your group is in need of more space we have three cleared spaces with water hookups for RV's and additional parking space. Pricing would be negotiable. Guest access You will have access to all of the property excluding 3 sheds which are for personal storage. Other things to note Welcome to the Tailgator! Have a Wonderful Time! Sue and Cliff Check In: House is ready, so any time on your check in date is fine with us. Check Out: By 12:00 noon on your check out date so our cleaning service can prepare for our next guests. Turn the thermostat on 70 and place key in the lock box and move the numbers. Off Limit Areas: There really are no off limit areas. We want you to enjoy the entire property but we ask you respect our rules as listed below. HOUSE RULES Smoking: No smoking inside the house including the screen enclosure. We have designated the front deck for smoking. There are ashtrays in the dishwasher. Please don’t throw your cigarette butts in the yard. Fireplace: Only place one log at a time. Make sure the flute is open as it is now. Garbage: There are three large garbage cans on the property. One on the front deck for household garbage and two under the house for cans, bottles and paper trash. Please make sure the covers to the trashcans are on tight at all times. Laundry: You are allowed to use the washer and dryer if needed. Please don’t overload. Linen: Before leaving, please strip the beds and leave linens in the laundry room. Extra linens are in the guest bedroom closet for the pullout coach in the living room. Also extra towels. Our extra household items are also stored there. Please DON’T help yourself. Dishwasher: Before leaving, please fill the dishwasher with any dirty dishes and run it. Bathrooms: We are on a septic system, so please don’t flush anything other than what is expected! ;) Outside Propane Heater: Please do not move the heater from the vaulted area on the screened enclosure. Make sure the propane is shut off when not in use. Events: Please no events or large gatherings without prior approval. Pets: Sorry, not allowed Golf Cart: If you use the golf cart, please be safe and sensible. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The sunsets are spectacular. Do not use after sunset. Place back on charger after use. Kayaks: There are 6 single kayaks and 1 double kayak. Please don’t drag but carry them to our own launch. We recommend going up stream since the current can be a real challenge. You can call Rum138 and Doug will pick you and the kayaks up and let you off at a launch of your choice to take a scenic ride down the Santa Fe River right to the Tailgator’s back door - 1st dock on the left after going under the SR47 bridge. $15.00 per person. Fire Pit: The fire pit is HUGE. It will eat up logs in no time. Feel free to gather any wood you can find. Please be safe and sensible. The blue umbrella folding chairs are perfect for sitting around the fire pit. Please don’t move the blue Adirondack chairs to the fire pit. Lawn Mower: PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH! Leaf Blower: Unfortunately, it’s that time of the year. Us South Floridians are not use to the mess they can make. There is a large leaf blower under the house for you to use to control the fallen leaves. Please notify us immediately if you find anything broken or missing, or if you break anything during your visit.
