Come stay in our family summer camp on beautiful Caspian Lake. The rustic house was originally built in the 1930's. The house sits on a private lawn with spectacular views of the lake – known for its pristine, clear and silky water. A great boathouse with a deck just above the lake is a favorite hangout for yoga, a sauna or spirited matches of ping-pong. We have kayaks and a canoe and swimming off a beautiful granite rock. The space It is a classic uninsulated camp with a the basic modern amenities needed: dishwasher, washer/dryer, large refrigerator, everything you need in a kitchen, and wifi. Perfect for a couple of families to vacation together, as the house sleeps up to 10 people. Upstairs are five bedrooms: one master bedroom with a queen, two bedrooms with doubles, one bedroom with a double and a twin, one cute little single and a bathroom with an old clawfoot tub. There is an outdoor shower with hot & cold water and a lake view. Downstairs there is a large living room, dining room, kitchen and a ½ bathroom. You will hear loons at night, or maybe get a glimpse of our resident mink. Swim, sauna, fish, canoe, play ping-pong, BBQ, or get cozy by the Franklin fireplace, this is one of the most beautiful places in the Northeast Kingdom to relax and play with family and friends! The Northeast Kingdom is a remote part of the world, full of pristine, natural beauty. Along with this special environment comes slower wifi speed and cell strength than you may be used to in a larger town. Depending on your carrier, you may or may not get cell service right at the house. However, there is a landline which you can use to call anywhere in the USA for free, as well as wifi throughout the house. Guest access Travellers will have access to the entire property. Other things to note The place is best enjoyed as a quiet, peaceful getaway. Our neighbors are sensitive to noise and no parties are allowed at any time.
