The space Les Écuries Set in the former stables of our Charentaise farmhouse, Les Écuries has been carefully converted to preserve the charm and character of the original building while offering all the comforts of a holiday home. With its stone walls, exposed beams and views over the garden, it is a peaceful place to settle in, slow down and simply enjoy the French countryside. The cottage is particularly well suited to a couple or a small family with a young child. The main living space combines the kitchen, dining area and sitting room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, hob, oven and everything you need to prepare good meals. For those who enjoy cooking, there is also the opportunity to make the most of fresh vegetables from our kitchen garden when they are in season. The cosy and comfortable sitting room is the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the area, or simply to enjoy some quiet time at home. Wi-Fi is available and there is a television for relaxing at the end of the day. The bedroom offers a comfortable bed and a calm, restful atmosphere. Bed linen and towels are provided. For families travelling with a baby, we provide everything you need to make your stay easier, including a cot, high chair, baby bath and other equipment on request. The bathroom has a shower, washbasin and toilet. Outside, you have your own private garden area — the perfect place to enjoy breakfast in the sunshine, have lunch under the pergola, read a book in the shade or simply listen to the birds and enjoy the peace and quiet. During the summer season, you can also make the most of our heated salt-water swimming pool, surrounded by greenery. It is a particularly lovely place to cool off after a day exploring the region, while younger guests can enjoy the area set aside for them. Le Clos des Jardins is a former rural property surrounded by countryside. There is no traffic or tourist bustle here — just old stone buildings, gardens, trees and the gentle rhythm of country life. Nearby, you can discover the villages and markets of the Deux-Sèvres and Charente, explore the quiet country lanes by bicycle, visit local markets or simply take the time to do absolutely nothing. Guest access Guests are welcome to explore the extensive grounds - the vegetable garden, orchard - feed the sheep and hens, pick fruit and veg or play pétanque or ping pong or dip in the ecologically heated pool. Borrow the bikes - there's child seats and a bike trailer for little ones and safety helmets!
