A beautiful 1920's home in Detroit's historic University District that was recently updated and renovated but retains it's historic features that make it unique. Our 3,200 sqft house features 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 2 half baths, a screened back patio, renovated kitchen with brand new appliances, large dining room that can accommodate up to 12 people, and partially finished basement. Come to enjoy the city while staying in comfort and class! Our house features many brand new upgrades such as a high velocity AC system, smart thermostats, and brand new home theater set up utilizing a 65" OLED 4K TV with many HD channels and app options. 5 Bedrooms each with a king or queen size bed, coupled with 3 full baths and 2 half baths make this a perfect family getaway, or a trip with old friends! Additional bed space is available with a queen size brand new air mattress. The neighborhood has 24/7 security patrol and is considered one of the safest in Detroit. The Detroit Golf Club (home to the PGA tour in 2019 and beyond) is a short walk from the house and Downtown Detroit is a 15 minute drive. Walking distance to many bars, restaurants, liquor stores and the University of Detroit Mercy campus. Peaceful, friendly block. 10 minute drive to downtown/midtown Detroit or the hip downtowns of Ferndale, Royal Oak & Birmingham. You'll have access to all of the house except two rooms in the basement and the garage. I will be a 30 minute drive away and am available by phone to answer any questions you have. We absolutely adore our historic and diverse neighborhood! Its referred to as University District (named so because we're home to the University of Detroit Mercy). Its a neighborhood rich in history, as most homes were built between 1927 and 1937, and we have so many friends here. There is a great mix of older families who have been here for 50+ years, new residents and young families. University District is one neighborhood that didn't experience quite the same extent as many others during the past decades in terms of disrepair and vacancy - our residents take so much pride in their homes and keeping tis neighborhood safe and a great place to call home. Unfortunately, we don't have great public transportation in Detroit. The only options are centered in downtown and midtown, which is about a 10-15 minute drive from our home. However, ride share options (Uber, Lyft) are abundant and never a long wait! Parking is available on the street, however we recommend that you park in the driveway during the evenings. As this is our actual home, we ask that you respect our dear neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum, keeping outdoor activities in the back yard, and adhering to quiet hours from 10pm-8am.
