FREE parking. 10 mins walk to Central Avenue in West Bridgford, 1.2 miles to National Water Sports Centre, 1 mile to Trent Bridge Cricket Ground. 2 minutes walk to local bus route for city centre & 2 miles to Nottm Train Station & Motorpoint Arena. Self-serve light continental breakfast tray included. The space A bright, spacious 2nd-floor retreat space. The room is tastefully decorated and has soft lighting. Ideal for enjoying some peace and quiet after a busy day. This private space at the top of the house offers an inspiring and relaxing place that allows you to completely switch off and unwind. The room has a solid oak double bed with a top quality mattress and comfortably sleeps 2. In addition there is a comfy fold out chair bed for 1 extra guest. All pillows are hypoallergenic/allergy free. Extra bedding is available on request. The room has a large wooden desk, vintage style desk lamp, bedside lamp and 3 ambient lighting variations. There are plenty of double sockets for your own appliances. The ensuite facilities include a walk-in shower, toilet, basin, light up steam-free mirror with magnifying shaving mirror and a full-size heated towel rail which is hot when the central heating is on. Tea and coffee making facilities and a self serve breakfast tray are available in the loft space and use of the shared family kitchen is available. There are some hooks in the cupboard just outside the room to hang coats and other clothes. The loft space provides views over Lady Bay and towards Greens Windmill (Nottingham’s working windmill on Sneinton Hill). Out of interest, all the flour from Green's Mill is organically grown and available to buy - I'm not on commission! Hot drinks making facilities are also available in the kitchen for guests using the loft room. Use of the microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine are also available to use in the kitchen on request. There is a clothesline for clothes drying on the patio, with a laundry basket and pegs available in the kitchen. In winter, clothes when washed can be dried on the ensuite chrome radiator when the heating is on, NOT on the stainless steel room radiator please as it will rust. There is a large raised patio area accessible from the kitchen and also from the driveway through the back gate, handy if bringing bicycles. FREE parking is available on the road. The patio and garden can be used for outdoor dining. Furnished with bistro tables and chairs, wooden patio furniture and glass top tables, chairs and recliners on the decking area under the willow tree. Some of the family’s creative artwork, recycled garden structures and various collections are dotted around the house and garden, these combine both style and quirkiness! We think you'll be delighted and inspired by the surroundings! A truly unique stay offering many opportunities for relaxation, reflection, inspiration, creativity and maybe offering many interesting topics for conversation and contemplation. Ann has a good knowledge of the area from several decades of living in Nottingham and can provide ideas for walks and sightseeing, tourist locations, galleries, churches and cathedrals, cinemas, shopping, dining and other places of interest. The shared kitchen is available to use, with kettle, sandwich toaster, microwave, cooker, fridge-freezer, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses, and washing machine. A light breakfast of cereals, porridge, fruit, pastries and various coffees & teas is included. These are provided self-serve style on a tray in the room for you to make your own breakfast. Please notify of any special dietary requirements/allergies etc in advance. The garden and patio areas are free to use anytime. Outdoor tables, chairs and parasols are available in the garden for relaxing and dining in sun or shade. During your stay As much or as little as required. This would be down to the visitor to communicate on arrival. Ann will meet you at her home. She can be available throughout your stay either face to face or on the phone should you have any questions about your stay or the local area. You can enjoy the peace and quiet or share conversation and the odd cuppa. The homeowner works from home so interaction will vary depending on freelance working commitments. Other things to note A double drive space is shared with the neighbours. FREE on street parking is available for guests. All guests have access to the facilities of the house during their stay including washing facilities if required (no tumble dryer), there's a clothesline on the patio and radiators are usually on and available in winter for clothes drying when the weather is less favourable. Please note prices for certain dates fluctuate during the seasons when demand is high, particularly when cricket matches, national water sports and other local sporting events are being staged as they are all within walking distance. We have a minimum stay of 1 night.
