The space Baker’s cottage is very characterful with murals on the upstairs walls. The listed building is quirky & different which is why we love it and will live there ourselves one day! The cottage is a few paces from the Hotham Arms which serves great beer and good food & is very popular. The interior of the cottage has exposed stone walls and beams and a large inglenook fireplace in the sitting room. A great space to share with family or friends. Hotham is a gorgeous village with lovely walking and the North Cave Wetlands close by, also Williams Den adventure play and Drewtons farm shop are only a few minutes away in the car. Hotham is 20 minutes from Beverley and Hull and 40 minutes from York and the coast, perfectly located for a varied family holiday. The driveway, parking and cycle store is shared with The Hideaway located at the rear of Baker’s Cottage, screened by a fence giving privacy to both Bakers as well as The Hideaway. Hideaway takes one or two adults if extra accommodation is required. Guest access There’s a key safe at the back door and shared parking area for 1 car behind the house and parking for 1 car at the front of the house on the road. Hotham is a very safe village and the villagers are very warm and friendly. There’s no shop in the village, but you can walk through the park to North cave village shop in about 20-30 minutes. There’s ample supermarkets nearby at Market Weighton, Brough and Beverley. Other things to note There’s a stairgate at the top of the stairs. There’s one step up from the kitchen to the living area and also to the downstairs bedroom. There’s level access from the back door paved area to the kitchen. There’s a downstairs bedroom, and there’s a grab near the step to assist those who need it. *Although we’re happy to take one well behaved small dog, I’m afraid we do not accept cats due to being allergic to cats ourselves.
