Kelley's Ocean View Cottage

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!! Rustic Quaint cottage that's been in my family since 1893.Bathroom pre dates indoor plumbing. The Bathroom is very tight and small, not the best for larger folks...This is not a 5 star resort! if that is your thing this is not for you! History and Nature it is! Ocean views on a mile around Island with spectacular night views of Portland and the stars with no light pollution and preserve is right down the street. 20 min to Freeport 20 min to Portland The space Rustic 1893 Cottage. Upstairs in winterized with sealed insulated walls and heating and carpeting. Downstairs still has the very rustic feel of the history of the original cottage, fire place and couch and love seat and original rocking chair my grandmother use to sit in for hours and look at the view. Many memories in this magical place. Hope you make some of your own. FYI. we start you out with adequate amount of toilet paper and 2 rolls of paper towels. Please be advised if you need more than supplied you will need to supply it. Guest access Depending on your arrival time key with be placed in a certain spot or Door will be left open for your arrival and Key will be left inside on the kitchen shelf. Other things to note Please understand this is a very old cottage, 5 star resort it is not! History it is. So please keep that in mind. We are upgrading as much as we can to keep you happy and to keep it in the family. Just added a full water system for even better water for all your needs. it goes through 2 filtration systems and is completely safe! and a Britta filter to use for even more filtration.. Screens and fans are supplied in every room in closets or under beds. We do have a free standing A C unit stationed down stairs. 90% of the summer their is no need for it due to the constant ocean breeze on the island, for the occasional heatwave we do have the unit you can move if you need. please make sure the slats are in the window correctly other wise will be bug central.. if you have a dog, PLEASE pick up after them and put it in the bigger bags for our maintenance person to grab and go with the trash bags on Thursday mornings
