Description

Our light, airy, well-maintained house gives you loads of space. 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living room, & a huge new kitchen-diner overlooking the garden with raspberries, roses and sweet peas. On a quiet street with friendly neighbours, lots of nearby shops, cafes & green spaces nearby. Easy access to buses, tubes and trains, just 45 mins to central London. Comes with an adorable cat, Mimi! (she has a cat flap and feeder, so you just need to refresh her water and give her cuddles) The space The house has four bedrooms: one large master bedroom, 2 children's rooms (each with a raised bed), and a large spare bedroom (with double futon) that serves as a study space, over-looking the garden. There's an upstairs bathroom with bath, power shower and toilet. There is also a second downstairs shower-room and utility room. The downstairs has recently been renovated, with a very large, light kitchen/diner (with sofa) with folding doors to the garden. The kitchen has a large table and breakfast bar, a large fridge freezer, two double electric ovens, four gas hobs, microwave, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. We are enthusiastic cooks so you should find the full range of kitchen equipment. There is a large living room at the front of the house with extra desk space, and a large TV with Prime/Netflix etc. The house has central heating, a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a washing line outside. There’s fast wifi throughout. It's a 2-minute walk to catch buses in the direction of Walthamstow, Stratford, Leyton and Hackney/Dalston. Several buses run directly to Holborn, the City and London Bridge. A 10-minute bus ride (or 20-minute walk) takes you to Blackhorse Road or Walthamstow Central tube stations (Victoria line) or Leyton tube station (Central line). Lea Bridge train station is a 10-minute walk (or 2 minutes by bus), with regular trains running to Stratford (with trains to East Anglia, Kent and Paris) and Tottenham Hale (with trains to Stansted Airport). Stansted Airport is 30-40 minutes by car/taxi, London Airport 25 minutes. We're in a residential parking zone but it's possible to get a temporary parking permit. The garden is attractive and well cared for, with a table, five chairs, parasol and bbq. There are lots of flowers, and there may be raspberries and strawberries too! The house has been converted from two Warner flats; a distinctive style of housing in the Walthamstow area. Guest access We’re two minutes from a Post Office, grocers, cafe, dry cleaners etc. It’s a 10-minute walk to Jubilee Park. A short bus ride or 25-minute walk takes you to Walthamstow Village, which has a number of excellent restaurants and pubs, as well as a micro-brewery and gin palace. It’s also a short bus ride to bars, cafés and restaurants in Clapton, Dalston and Hackney, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Westfield Shopping Centre, Brook Farm, the William Morris Gallery, Walthamstow marshes/nature reserve, and Epping Forest. The M11, M25, M1 and A12 give you quick access to the rest of the county. We're in a residential parking zone but it's possible to get a temporary parking permit. Other things to note We'd ask you to look after our 2-year-old cat, Mimi, while we're away. She has a cat flap and auto-feeder so is very self-sufficient (and there's no need to change litter trays or anything), but occasionally her water needs refreshing and she loves a bit of attention!
