The farmstay at GreenAcres is a unique and genuine experience of living on the farm in a decagonal shaped manduva house with 5 guest bedrooms. It's a resort style retreat with village vibe in the middle of a natural farm and orchard. It is a great place for small eco-friendly events and get-togethers. It's a great opportunity for you to connect with nature. Private Parking. Free Internet Wifi, Housekeeping, Home cooked Vegetarian meals will be available. The space The rooms are spacious, clean and well ventilated. Each bedroom can accomodate 4 people comfortably. There are no Air Conditioners. The idea behind the construction of the farmhouse is to minimise fossil energy dependence and have a natural space that is as comfortable as possible without air conditioners. With the vegetation and cross ventilation a simple fan should suffice for most of the year except the summer months of April/May. The house is the middle of an eco-friendly, chemicals free, natural organic farm. Serene atmosphere with sounds of birds and insects is sure to bring you closer to nature. Get to spend time in a poly-cultured fruit orchard with a variety of fruit bearing trees AKA a food forest popularly known in permaculture circles. Get to see a natural farm in action. Also learn a thing or two about Sustainable Agriculture and Sustainable Living. Guest access The guests have access to most of the 10+ acres natural farm. This includes the polycultured fruit orchard, the wooded area, the paddy fields, the vegetable patch, the cows enclosure, the chicken coop, the rain water harvesting structures, the solar panel installation, the basket/volley ball court and the tree house. Other things to note Tasty home cooked vegetarian meals can be provided with prior notice. Veg Breakfast Rs. 200 per person. Veg Lunch/Dinner Rs. 300 per person. Veg Snacks and Tea Rs. 100 per person. Extra bed provided on request Rs 1000, only one extra bed per room Some of the items used in the cooking are produced on the farm. Charcoal BBQ grill and bonfire are available for extra cost. The last mile to the farm is a dirt road and the cars need to have higher ground clearance.
