Single sofabed in cosy 1930's semi, ground floor room. Great location! WiFi, laptop-friendly workspace, shared bathroom. Homely setting, quiet location, leafy suburb 3 miles south of Nottm City Centre. FREE parking. 10 mins walk to Central Avenue in W Bridgford, 1.2 miles to National Water Sports Centre, 1 mile to Trent Bridge Cricket Ground. 2 minutes walk to local bus route for city centre & 2 miles to Nottm Train Station & Motorpoint Arena. Self-serve continental breakfast tray in the room. The space Cosy stylish front room with single sofabed, shared bathroom, WiFi, laptop-friendly desk space. Self serve breakfast tray of cereals, fruit, pastries, tea & coffee is included in the price, available in the room. Use of the shared kettle, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine are also available to use in the kitchen on request, shared with the family. There is a clothesline for clothes drying on the patio, with a laundry basket and pegs available in the kitchen. In winter, clothes can be dried on the downstairs and first-floor radiators when the heating is on. Please Note: No wet clothes or towels to be left over wooden doors or on furniture as this leaves white marks on the wooden surfaces. There is a large raised patio area accessible from the kitchen and also from the driveway through the back gate, handy if bringing bicycles. FREE parking is available on the road. The patio can be used for outdoor dining and is furnished with bistro tables and chairs and wooden patio furniture. Two recliners are also available on request for outdoor relaxation on warmer days. Some of the family’s creative artwork, garden studios and other structures and various collections are dotted around the house and garden, these combine both style and quirkiness! We think you'll be delighted and inspired by the surroundings! A truly unique stay offering many opportunities for relaxation, reflection, inspiration, creativity and maybe offering many interesting topics for conversation and contemplation. (N.B. The drive often has landscaping materials stacked. Ann's son's business is design and build landscaping, his pick up is often on the driveway. The patio and garden are still available to access, please take care when walking around). Ann has a good knowledge of the area from several decades of living in Nottingham and can provide ideas for walks and sightseeing, tourist locations, galleries, churches and cathedrals, cinemas, shopping, dining and other places of interest. See Ann's Guidebook for further details. Guest access Guests will have access to the main front door during their stay, keys are provided. The shared kitchen is available for basic use if needed, with kettle, sandwich toaster, microwave, air fryer, cooker, fridge-freezer, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses, and washing machine. A light breakfast of cereals, fruit, pastries, tea & coffee is included. These are provided self-service style in the room for you to make your own breakfast. Milk and butter are available in the kitchen fridge. Please notify of any special dietary requirements/allergies etc in advance. The top garden and patio areas are free to use anytime. Outdoor tables, chairs and parasols are available in the garden for relaxing and dining in sun or shade. Two comfy recliners are available on request. During your stay As much or as little as required. This would be down to the visitor to communicate on arrival. Ann will meet you at her home. She can be available throughout your stay either face to face or on the phone should you have any questions about your stay or the local area. You can enjoy the peace and quiet or share conversation and the odd cuppa. The homeowner works from home in her garden studio so interaction will vary depending on freelance working commitments. Other things to note A double drive space is shared with the neighbours. There is free on-street parking for guests. All guests have access to the facilities of the house during their stay including washing facilities if required (no tumble dryer), there's a clothesline on the patio and radiators are usually on and available in winter for clothes drying when the weather is less favourable. Please note prices for certain dates fluctuate during the seasons when demand is high, particularly when cricket matches, national water sports and other local sporting events are being staged as they are all within walking distance.
