Kainchi Boutique Homestay is a home for one seeking silence amidst mountains, a perfect escape from the clutter of the modern world. It is located in Kainchi Dham (1.5km away from the famous Neem Karoli Baba temple and ashram). Each room offers picturesque views of the valley and Shipra river. Our home is surrounded by oak and pine forest. The nearby forest is a few steps away, that leads to various short and long hiking trails. The space - Kainchi Boutique Homestay is far away from the hustle and bustle of the main city. - A common living room, dining area, large windows, and private balcony in every room, use of locally sourced pine wood are some of the salient features of Kainchi Homestay. - There are many Himalayan birds that you can see from the homestay and in the forest trails around. - Village walks and interaction with the locals are an experience that can be planned for you. - You can spend countless hours in the common areas – reading, writing, painting while enjoying the mountain views. I enjoy walking in the woods, camping, and spotting birds. I am happy to do a guided hike/ forest walk with guests who would like to experience it. If you are a keen trekker, multi-day treks can be your plan and we lead them for you. Guest access - You will be sharing the homestay with me. I have my own bedroom on the ground floor. - The first floor has 4 bedrooms with twin sharing beds, attached washrooms, and private balconies. This first floor comfortably accommodates 8 people. An extra bed can be arranged in 03 bedrooms at an additional charge. - You will share access to the common areas of the home with me. This includes a large living room, dining area, open space on the front side of the homestay. During your stay I personally stay at the place along with my parents. I am approachable through texts, and also over phone. Other things to note 1. Reaching Kainchi Homestay: To reach Kainchi homestay, the nearest railway station is Kathgodam (1.5 hrs drive). There are two routes that can be taken to reach our homestay- • Kathgodam-Bhimtal-Bhowali-Kainchi • Kathgodam- Jeolikote- Bhowali-Kainchi 2. Wifi & Connectivity: We have a 4G Wifi connectivity at the property, also almost all the cellular networks work well at Kainchi Homestay, except BSNL. 3. Medical Kit: We have a basic medical and first aid kit at the property. You are advised to please carry your prescribed medicines (if any). Though the nearest chemist is at Bhowali (7kms), all medications are not available here. 4. Doctors / Hospital: The nearest medical facility is in Bhowali (8kms), a govt. hospital. The hospital can be consulted for minor issues. In case of any medical emergency, there is a state-run ambulance service (108) that transfers the patient to the closest govt. run hospital. 5. Meals: We serve wholesome, home-cooked North-Indian food majorly cooked using local Greens, Pulses, Grains, and spices. Breakfast with tea is chargeable @INR400 PER PERSON. Lunch and dinner can be prepared at a nominal charge- Rs.650 per person/per veg meal and Rs.850 per person/ per non-veg meal. In case of any dietary restrictions, please let us know at the time of confirmation. We will try to accommodate the requirement of any special dish/ meal if informed in advance with an additional charge. 6. Pets: We do not encourage pets. 7. Eating out: The closest restaurant is a 1.5kms / 10mins drive away. There are also a few local dhabas within 2kms. 8. Safety: The locality is safe and peaceful. Walking alone in the nearby forest once it gets dark should be avoided. 9. Washing Machine: We have a washing machine at home. Laundry service can be provided for guests staying more than 3 days at a nominal charge. 10. Drinking water: We have 24hrs running natural spring water supply and it is absolutely safe to drink. We do not encourage bottled water, but it can be arranged upon request at an additional charge. 11. Smoking and Alcohol: Smoking is strictly not allowed inside the rooms. If you wish to smoke, please do so outside in the garden area. Alcohol consumption is permitted within limits. Please carry your own alcohol. We strictly do not encourage late-night parties or loud music. 12. Check-in & Check-out time: Check-in time is at 1 pm and check-out time is 10.30 am. Please note that check-out timings are strict as we need to ready the rooms for our next booking. In case you wish to check in a little early or check out a little late, do inform us at the time of booking. 13. Room Heaters: For winters, one can ask for a room heater/hot air blower based on availability at a nominal charge of Rs.350 per day. 14. Drivers Accommodation: On the basis of availability if informed in advance we do provide accommodation for the drivers which is chargeable at INR500(PER BED).
