The Apartment is just a 12-minute walk from Torquay railway station. Institute Beach is opposite the Apartment, although access is restricted due to rock falls. Livermead Sands (to the left of the Livermead Cliff Hotel) is a lovely beach adjoining Corbyn Head, accessible at low tide. Further towards Torquay, sand and shingle Corbyn Beach has a café and there are toilet facilities on Corbyn Head. The sandy beach at Torre Abbey Sands is a 15-minute walk along the Torbay seafront. Princess Theatre is a 20-minute walk along the seafront and Babbacombe Theatre is a 10-minute drive, as is Paignton's Palace Theatre in the opposite direction. Paignton has a long sandy Beach and a Pier. The very popular Dartmouth Steam Railway is based at Paignton's Queen's Park Station - enjoy the Round Robin ticket which includes a ride on a steam train, a ferry crossing, a river cruise and a bus ride.
