Situated in the heart of the leafy suburb of Karen; this open-plan, one-bedroom guest cottage is perfect for solo travellers or couples looking for a cosy place to relax. The property is located less than 1.5km from the Hub Mall and only 2km from the Karen centre. The space The Garden Cottage is the perfect space for those looking for a home away from home. All the necessary amenities have been included to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A comfortable queen-size bed is the only bed available in the cottage, therefore we cannot accommodate twin bed requests. The ensuite, country-style bathroom features a shower, sink and toilet. Handmade shampoo, conditioner, body wash are provided as well as toilet paper and towels. There is a dedicated work space off from the bedroom. WiFi is included. The open-plan kitchen is well stocked with utensils, crockery, cutlery, fridge, gas hob and gas oven, microwave, kettle and toaster. 10 litres of drinking water as well as some tea bags, coffee, sugar, milk, salt, pepper and fresh cut flowers are provided for your arrival. The lounge area is a great place to chill out and watch t.v (Netflix is included), read a book or play a board game. The patio area is surrounded by a small garden and has an outdoor dining table and a large swinging chair hangs from the tall fig tree. An outdoor fireplace can be lit in the evening upon request (please bring some firewood with you). Guest access Guests will have full access to this private space. Car parking (covered) is provided on site just a couple of meters from the cottage. Other things to note Please read before booking: • Property: We live on the same family property. Please be mindful that house rules are important to us. • Animals: This is an active property with dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, and ducks. Many roam freely in the shared garden. • Generator: Our backup generator supports lights, Wi-Fi, fans, TV, and the fridge. It does not support high-powered items like hot water (for showers), kettles, toasters, or microwaves. Overloading the system will cause it to fail. • Guest Policy: No unregistered visitors are allowed on the property under any circumstances unless agreed to in advance. • Housekeeping: Cleaning is provided after every 3rd night. Linens are changed weekly (after 6 nights). • Laundry: There is no washing machine in the cottage. Hand-wash powder is provided for small urgent items. Full-service laundromats are available nearby at The Hub and Waterfront malls. • Neighborhood Noise: While usually quiet, occasional noise or music from outside our property boundaries can occur and is beyond our control. • Communication: Please use a regular cellular line for calls, as app-based calls often fail here.
