Room in 18th farmhouse

Myriam and Piet welcome you to our small village, in a haven of peace with a beautiful view on the meadows next to us, the valley, the Bois du Bruel. Come and recharge your batteries with us. You will stay in a farmhouse, where 2 rooms and the ground floor have been renovated with respect for tradition and with durable quality materials. Relax in the garden, in the hammock, have a good meal with us, walk, cycle, discover the beautiful villages of the region, real holiday in other words. The space You enter in 1 big pleasant room of 50m2 with lounge and dining table. A new kitchen and woodstove have been installed end 2021. This room has 2 original antique cupboards. The staircase leads to 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and bath and a separate toilet. When you book the formula b&b, you can use the kitchen for coffee, tea, water, not for actual cooking. The bedrooms are spacious and have double beds of 220 cm each. A sofa which can be used as an extra bed once unfolded. Both bedrooms have plenty of light through 2 velux windows (opening and darkening via remote control). The bathroom has a rain shower, bathtub and 2 natural stone sinks. You share the bathroom and toilet with the other room. At the front there is a pleasant balcony with a view of the 2 barns and in the evening there is still sun here for a long time. At the back you have the morning and afternoon sun and here you find a garden with a lawn and old apple and pear trees, flowers. Here you will certainly find a private spot for yourself. Further on in the garden there is a vegetable garden and an orchard under construction. You can walk on the grounds of 7ha down into the valley in the meadows of the horses. Guest access We have a private parking next to the house, where you can park safely. We also have a hangar for bicycles or motorcycles. Other things to note Other formulas are also possible. You can rent the 2 rooms together and stay with us independently: see the other ad on Airbnb. Breakfast is included in the price. Dinner is possible with prior notice (1 day in advance). Price dinner for 2 courses: 20 Euro/person, 3 courses 25 Euro/person. As much as possible from our own vegetable garden and locally bought and organic. Gastronomic menu once a week is possible : 35 Euro/person. From November up to Easter you can taste and buy home-made chocolate pralines. Workshops are possible all year round. Your host is trained as a cook - chocolatier. We have 3 lovely cats and a dog in the house. In the yard and in the garden we have 4 happy chickens and a cockerel walking around freely.
