Traditional Swedish Torp in the Mariefred Area

Relax with the whole family at our peaceful bohemian paradise in the heart of the beautiful Swedish countryside close to lake Mälaren and the picturesque summer town Mariefred yet only 50 minutes from Stockholm. Great public transport service. Parking for 2 cars. We have two neighbouring families. Surrounded by forests and beautiful fields it offers the simple and relaxing living we all crave so much. Please be aware cleaning is not included, check out cleaning required by the guests 🫶🏻. The space Here you can try cooking on a traditional cast iron stove or just relax in front of the fire, although we also have a heating system and electric radiators plus a small electric oven/hob should you prefer. There’s plenty of space outdoors for children to play in the biodiverse nature garden; we have our own meadow, a swing and the forest just behind the house too. Downstairs we have the master bedroom suitable for two and upstairs is the cosy sleep loft that has a double bed, two singles and a small double bed. Please note that the sleep loft has a low ceiling. We have a bathroom with bath, sink, washing machine and a toilet. Please note, as we live in a water conservation area we have sewage system that requires careful attention; gentlemen should sit down during the entire performance, ladies please only flush down toilet paper and do not overfill on each flush. Guest access The house is visible from the main road that goes between Mariefred and Stallarholmen and you can get a bus from either Mariefred or Strängnäs. From Mariefred Läggesta which is about 15 minutes from the house you can get a fast train to/from Stockholm in 40 minutes. We have parking for at least two cars. We have one neighbour on either side of the house. Other things to note We do not provide linen, towels and toiletries and cleaning is NOT included. Guests must use cleaning equipment provided to leave the house as they found it for the next guests.
