Charming shepherds hut , close to Totnes

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature in a charming self-contained Traditional Showman’s wagon set in beautiful South-facing countryside close to Littlehempston just two miles from Totnes with its cafes, bars, and restaurants. We are within walking distance of two pubs serving food, in the village itself, the Tally Hoe and the Pig & Whistle also a short walk through the lanes. Dartmoor and beautiful South Hams beaches are just a short drive away. The space The Showman’s Wagon is a delightful self contained Glamping space with lovely South facing views over the surrounding countryside. It has a quirky retro outside toilet and shower room shared with the cabin , there is onsite parking for two cars. It has its own decking area with a garden area and seating to the front of the wagon. Heated by an electric wood fire effect for cosy winter nights . Enjoy an Alpaca walking experience for an additional fee, also available is the option to book the additional Glamping cabin for extra beds and space for the children if a little older. The interior of the wagon has been fitted with a kitchen area with a fridge, oven, and hob. Along with a coffee maker. There is a seating area with a small pull-out bed for one and a bi-folding door out onto the decking at one end and a double bed at the far end. The toilet and shower is loacted at the rear of the wagon and may be shared with one other person if the cabin is rented . There is a separate self-contained hut in the garden with a small double bed that can be added at a small extra cost for two older children or larger group, Please enquire prior to booking if this is something you need as it is an extra fee subject to availability.. We are happy to help and share things like iron, a hairdryer to make your stay comfortable, If there is anything not in the wagon, please just ask we are happy to help where we can and want you to enjoy your stay. Wifi is available if you get withdrawal symptoms and there is a TV with free and Netflix set up. Guest access You have your own off rd secure parking within the garden. Other things to note We are a certified Natural England campsite as part of our planning permission the booking guest will need to become a member of the Wanderlust camping club which we will sign you up for, the person booking the accommodation will be required to provide a full address, email and contact number for this please do not make a booking if you do not wish to provide this as we are unable to check you in without a membership in place. There is no facility to charge EV from the glamping space, please do not plug in any cables, charges apply. The toilet and shower space to the rear is shared with one other person during your stay if there is a booking on the cabin. We are able to allow one SMALL well-behaved dog. It must be kept off the bed and on a lead at all TIMES outside of the wagon. We have young lambs and alpacas in the field outside. Please do not just arrive with a large dog or any kind of fighting breed. We would not be able to accommodate you and no refunds would be made. The space is not suitable for larger pets. Please contact us prior to booking to avoid disappointment on arriving For any longer term rental periods over two weeks during the winter the electricity will be charged at the current rates at the time for units used. There is space for one child also but please be aware it is not a huge space and we recommend children are old enough to take extra care when on the decking and steps.its is not suitable for small children.There are no specific child facilities or extra safety for children please view the decking area and space to decide if you are comfortable with the space. Please note that the Camping and Tipi Paddock is an adult-only site, children are only permitted to take part in one of the Alpaca experiences. There is a separate self-contained hut in the garden with twin sleeping that can be added at a small extra cost for two older children or adults. Please enquire prior to booking. We offer a unique Alpaca walking experience that can be added at an additional fee, please enquire when here if that is something you would like to do. The wagon is situated not far from a road so there will be some mild traffic noise.
