The Beach Bungalow: Hike, surf & visit wineries

The country meets the sea in this laid-back, picturesque surf town. Shell Beach is halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles on California's Central Coast, which makes it the perfect stop for some wine tasting and outdoor adventure. Within walking distance there is a beach (best to visit at low tide), restaurants and coffee shops. My home is an original 1950s bungalow. Per guests requests, I made few upgrades — new windows, space heaters in every room and a dishwasher to boot! Other things to note Just a heads up that if you are staying at my place on a Monday, the gardeners come between 9- noon. They are usually done within 30 minutes and should only be in the backyard. Thursday is trash day, so please put out the cans on Wednesday night. Thanks!
