4 night plus stays only @ Jan 1, - 3 bedroom + loft, sleeps 15, is perfect for ski season. Located in Westkill, 25 min from Hunter Mtn, Windham, Belleayre. Excellent WiFi. House sits on over 10t acres, includes a stone fireplace, SOLO Stove, 72 inch TV, large very private sun deck which overlooks the pond on the property. Diamond Notch Waterfall / Devils Path is a 5 minute drive from the property. Get the Catskills experience while being away from the hustle and bustle of ski towns. The space Classic Catskills log house. Open space, vaulted wood ceilings, Pond, Very private sun deck, the Back half of the property is all woods, adjacent to and surrounded by more virgin woods. Fantastic night sky views of the stars / Constellations. Deer, predator birds, chip monks, frogs, turtles and other woodland creatures. Almost forget the World in Privacy of the brook. West kill brewery provides light food and many craft beers. Guest access The house has a wide driveway, so parking is not an issue. The main entrance stairs are "lazy" with 4 steps, platform, 4 steps. There is a lightly traveled paved ring road which helps keep the area quiet and a good place to go for a challenging run, or strenuous bike ride with the steep hills. Please wear appropriate DOT reflective safety attire if on the road at night. There are no street lights, Please respect the peace and quiet. Other things to note I would suggest an all wheel drive vehicle in the winter as the driveway is on a slight upgrade. Drive gently as there are many steep roads and Deer in the Mountains. Electric Vehicle charger available. Level II = Moderate speed. Please do not let the children or inexperienced play / experiment with the fireplace or SOLO stove, I have several fire extinguishers. By all means use them if necessary, just avoid the initial Necessary part. Do not spray a smoldering fire with lighter fluid. You intelligently and strategically soak a piece or two of cold wood and then put cold fire wood on top, then light. This is not a Bon Fire situation. The SOLO stove needs the bottom ring. Pond Ice thickness is impossible for me to predict, you need two weeks of solid below freezing weather. Please have someone with relevant experience evaluate conditions.
