Indian Lake lakeside A-Frame with dock
Description
Totally rebuilt in ‘13, this was one of the first at Indian Lake. Built by Beth's Grandfather (a partner in the development of Indian Lake) as the trees were still being cleared for the lake bed, this cozy and comfortable spot has been a summer family favorite for generations... be our guest and see why! It's an excellent work-remote location with fast wifi and plenty of peace and quiet. Check out our Sand Dollar Inn located in Siesta Key Florida on AirBnB too! The space A short walk through a gently sloping grassy park lot (~150 yards) past a volleyball court to your dock on the lake. You'll enjoy the great view of Indian lake from the front porch. There's a stone fire pit with log seats out front and plenty of wood for roasting marshmallows over the campfire. Your dock is great for swimming and launching 2 included kayaks and a paddle boat but the slip is too small for docking a full-sized boat. It's a great spot to get out on the lake to enjoy it's full beauty! Our classic a-frame with a large addition sleeps 2 adults in the master bedroom with a king sized bed and a full master bathroom and a cozy loft that sleeps 4 (though 4 adults would be pretty tight) with a full size and 2 twin beds. Note that wooden loft steps are steep and not really suitable for small children or those with disabilities. A full bathroom with shower and handmade spalted maple vessel sink adjoins the living room. Wake up in the master bedroom on a comfortable king size bed to a view of the lake and large Victorian garden. Stack washer and dryer as well as a large closet and 50" flat screen with basic cable TV. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, ceramic top stove, coffee maker, toaster and disposal. Relax in the living room with a cozy freestanding gas stove, large picture window with a great view and 50" flat screen with basic cable TV. There’s a 12,000 btu portable air conditioner (the kind on wheels that vents out a window) in summer months keeping the main room of the a-frame comfortable. A ceiling fan in the master bedroom and another in the a-frame peak also help keep it comfortable during the hottest summer days. Most Indian Lake nights, even in summer, are lovely for sleeping with the windows open but these definitely help on those occasions when it gets super hot. Guest access The whole house is all yours! Other things to note Please plan to bring your own inflatables and life vests to the lake. Just FYI, Indian Lake is very strict about unregistered boats and kayaks. They all require an Indian Lake sticker. We have 2 registered kayaks and a paddle boat that are available for your use on the lake. Also note that there is no landline telephone in the house. Cell phone coverage by Verizon and AT&T is good at the lake. Service by the other mobile phone companies is not great in this rural area. We have cable TV in the house but it's a basic cable package of just 44 channels. All the major networks are there but much of the rest is home shopping network and old reruns. Just enough to keep up to date with what's happening but not enough to keep you from wanting to be outside enjoying Indian Lake! Note that some of the pictures show a gravel driveway while others show it paved. We had it paved July 2021 which makes it easier to get in and out especially when it snows.
