Willow Yurt

Here at Howdy Glamping, Great Strickland you will find 3 unique & beautiful yurt s and two caravans all privately placed in a young woodland we planted thirty years ago. Willow is our biggest with its own compost loo and garden with outside seating .Willow is Insulated with a central wood burning stove , kitchen area, gas stove to cook on and all you need to create lovely meals and clean up after yourselves. A peaceful space to enjoy the sounds of birds , trees rustling and simply be. The space This is a yurt, a round open space with a double bed & two sofas (one is a bed settee) The Spare Duvet and pillows are stored in wicker chest by bed and in the wardrobe. A kitchen area with dining table and 6 chairs. A beautiful wood stove and complimentary basket of wood with firelighters, paper kindling and matches. Plates ,bowls, pots ,pans , cups, glasses, cutlery and dishcloths etc all provided. Outside is a washing up area with a water container and washing up bowl with another bowl to catch water. It’s own compost loo outside. It’s own garden area, with picnic bench, fire area and plastic chairs. Guest access The BeautifulEden valley is situated in North East Cumbria. Ullswater lake is about 20 minutes drive away, Haweswater 25 minutes, Helton and Askham fella 10 minutes away, and Hellvellyn 25 mins , Blencathra 20 minutes. The market towns of Penrith and Appleby are between (10/15mins drive), whilst Keswick is 25/30 mins. We regularly wild swim in our local river near Askham.( 10 mins drive away) Other things to note Linen is NOT provided but Duvets and Pillows are. (it is extra if you require a bed to be made up , and bath towels the additional cost is £30 for each linen set per bed).
