Elie House has a rich history dating back to 1697, originally built by Sir William Anstruther on the site of a late 16th-century mansion. Some of the south-facing windows may even date from that earlier period. Over the centuries, the house was home to notable families including the Bairds and Sir Michael Nairn. After serving as a private residence, it became a retreat for the Marie Reparatrice order of nuns. The Orangery where you will be staying was later built on the site of the former chapel, combining historic charm with modern comfort.
