Storstugan in the 1700s
Storstugan in the 1700s
Description
The main lodge at FärjanGården. This is the main building on the farm, which dates back to the 18th century. Much of the property is preserved and recreated. Renovated in old style with murals and charm. Swimming opportunity on the farm at the guest jetty, fishing from shore or from a rowing boat that can be borrowed. Access to two canoes (shared with one other cabin further away on the property). Cozy terrace with evening sun and views of the Dalälven river. Sauna is down by the water (shared but can be booked) No TV. The space Bring own sheets and towels. There are duvets and pillows. The toilet is a combustion toilet and an outdoor toilet. If you are many guests, the incineration toilet will not be able to handle the load, so it is recommended that you use the outdoor toilet as often as possible. Guest access You can use the whole house. There is a terrace with seating for 6 people. Rowing boat and two canoes can be used. Good swimming area with nice shallow sandy beach is about 500 meters away. Other things to note Please note that this is a summer house in the countryside by the water. If you expect "hotel standard", I recommend a hotel. If the house has not been used for a few days before your arrival, there may be dead flies in the windows, for example. Guests clean after themselves. Summer water. The water is shut off during the winter (approx. Oct.-April). The cottage can also be booked without water as there is a combustion toilet/outdoor toilet. A large boat (Linder 460 Arkip) with 40hp engine can be booked at extra cost. It is forbidden to charge an electric car as it can cause a fire or damage the electrical system. There is a charging station about 10 minutes away at Dalahästen.
