Welcome to the Corner Condo in BV! This unit is remodeled, freshly updated, and close to everything! We are located one block off charming Main Street, 3 blocks from the river, and 2 blocks to South Main. To the west are the Collegiate Peaks and hundreds of miles of hiking! There's lots of great shops, and the views can't be beat. Leave the stress at home and stay with us for some time in the mountains. The recently remodeled condo has a two bedroom, one bath floor plan with a spacious kitchen, open living area and large windows from which one can see mountains and the top of the old courthouse. Cleanliness is on everyone’s minds these days. We thoroughly clean and sanitize the home. All bedding is washed, including blankets, & mattress pads & all heavily used surfaces are sanitized. Our condo is family owned and operated. We are not a corporation or large investment firm. We have an amazing in-town property manager that will ensure everything goes perfect during your stay. We are a first floor unit, and parking is right outside the front door. There are no stairs to navigate. There is a queen sized bed in both bedrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked for your use. There’s a washer/dryer in the condo with laundry soap for your convenience. WiFi is available along with streaming tv (cable). Early check-in between Noon and 3p *may* be available at a $50 additional fee; please communicate with us as early as possible with your needs. We'll do our best to accommodate. Please understand that it may not be available due to check-out times and the need to coordinate with our hard-working cleaning crew. We can sleep 4 people in our 2 queen beds. There is a twin size fold out mattress for a small fifth person, for an additional fee. If you’d like to bring an air mattress that is fine. We do ask that you please let us know the exact number of people that will be staying in the condo. Maximum number of people is 5. There is a small outdoor seating area in front of the condo. As with most mountain town homes, we do not have air conditioning. We have lots of great windows for ventilation and fans. We are a multi-unit dwelling and can have some noise from neighbors at times. There is a strict quiet period in the evening and early morning hours. If you are vacationing with a large group please ask the manager about other condos in the complex. You can be close to friends & family, and yet have your own space. She does not live on site but lives in town and is near by should you need anything. If possible, I'd appreciate you contacting me during normal business hours. All communication need to be done through the Airbnb app. The condo is located just one block off of Main Street where there are multiple restaurants and shopping available. Some of our favorites include Buena Vista Roastary Cafe for coffee, The Trailhead for outdoor equipment (also includes an excellent restaurant), and Viking Burgers next to the Deerhammer Distillery. Just to the east three blocks is the Arkansas River, famous for its excellent rafting and kayaking waters. Recognizing this, the city built the Buena Vista Whitewater Park, one of the finest in Colorado. On the way to the river, check out the Buena Vista Skate Park, Pumptrack for mountain biking, and the Riverpark Dog Park. A walking trail runs along the Arkansas River and across the river are hiking and mountain biking trails. If you enjoy hiking you’re in the right place! Just to the west of BV are hundreds of miles of trails that take you to some of the highest elevations in Colorado. The town is surrounded by National Forest land. Of the 54 CO peaks over 14,000 feet Chaffee County boasts twelve of them-the most of any county in Colorado, including Mount Elbert, the tallest in the state. Buena Vista is near a number of other charming towns with great shopping, restaurants, and history. To the south is Salida and to the north is Leadville. Take a left on Highway 82 on the way to Leadville and you'll find Twin Lakes. Venture further on 82 and you'll cross Independence Pass (sometimes closed during the winter) and the Continental Divide leading to Aspen and the Maroon Bells Scenic Area, one of the most photographed areas in Colorado. Parking is located directly in front of the condo. There is a high chair located in the entry way closet.
