Description
Natural light pours into this lovely casita! Accessible w/ kitchen, dining, bathroom, TV & foam mattress for a completely unique & cozy stay. Within walking distance to two parks, several local restaurants & shops, old town, downtown, many local breweries & a neighborhood grocery store. Hopping onto either freeway (I-40 & I-25) is a breeze at just 3/4 of a mile down the road. Private driveway large enough for two vehicles & a separate entrance feels even more like your home away from home. The space ** Long term stay tips** Watch taxes, it’s cheaper to stay 31 nights than 28. And never do 27, because you miss monthly discount. -This is a killer spot for solo adventurers, two people road tripping, or someone in town for business who wants a unique, homey feel. Our 1st yr in the home we used the space to mostly store things and as a place to be creative. We’ve also had friends over to stay. And all of them have told us how fun and charming it’s been. I think it’s because we put effort into certain details that create a nice environment. Then we got excited to open it up and share it with more people. Media includes Flex box where you cash sign into your streamable subscriptions. Plus access to local channels and Peacock. DVD player in case the Internet is down. There is a Redbox nearby. Guest access The Casita is it’s own separate building that touches a small corner of our house. Everything you find inside is yours to use. Cooling comes from a central evaporative cooling unit. Needs windows open (secured) to work effectively. Areas on the outside of the house are shared, Dre and Nate are your friendly house neighbors right next door. For example, if you go out the back door that is the driveway where they park. From there you will rarely see them go in and out of the house. But the front entrance has your own private driveway, that is separate front yard by a small white picket fence. You will not see them in the front, it feels very private from the attached house. Other things to note Wellspark neighborhood is an old section that outskirts downtown. It’s a very alive, urban environment with events, art, tourism, and business happening in close proximity to the house. Old industrial buildings are being repurposed to be hip spots, and artistic destinations, parks being built, and the housing market is hot for renovators. Our street in particular is a one-way that feeds visitors and 9-5ers into downtown and oldtown. Meaning it has cars, and people walking dogs all the time. It’s nothing compared to a big city, and roads are sleepy on the weekends, but be aware that the noise level is not that of a suburban neighborhood. We lived next-door to the Casita for a few years. Now it has permanent renters. We loved the neighborhood and lifestyle for years. Normal intercity homelessness will be seen during your visit. They are a happy and well taken care-of group of people that have all of their resources within a mile. Occasionally you’ll hear a train from far away late at night. The airport and Air Force Base is not too far so during day you could hear and see some interesting planes.
