Homely studio with natural pools & sweeping views

Gaze out in awe at the power of the ocean from the terrace, where you can snuggle up and watch the sky transform as the sun sets over the sea. Located in a quiet fishing village on the coast of Tenerife's main wine growing region. A one-minute walk away from natural pools, full of colourful fish. License: VV-38-4-0094394 The space We have recently renovated our studio by the sea with great love and attention to detail. It measures around 40m2 and is made up of a stylish wet room, an open-plan sleeping/living area, with its crowning glory being the glass-box covered terrace, offering jaw-dropping views of the wild, rugged north coast of Tenerife, up to Teide. Because of the open-plan layout, you can lie in bed and watch the waves in the morning, and in the evening you can swing the TV around to watch a movie in bed. The apartment faces west so it remains cool throughout the day (no need for air-con), and you can enjoy ocean sunsets every evening. There is a blackout curtain separating the terrace from the rest of the living space in case you want a lie-in, otherwise, allow the sun and the roar of the ocean to wake you up naturally every morning. The corner kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, toaster, kettle, gas cooker, and a medium-sized fridge/freezer. There is plenty of cupboard storage and everything you might need. The hot water runs on gas so it won't run out, although there's a water shortage in the Canaries so please be mindful. There is a small wardrobe where you can also find an iron. The TV is a smart TV so you can sign into all of your streaming apps, or just stream from your smart devices. There is high-speed wifi in the flat. The flat is located in a building that dates from the 70s. It has quite a charming design, snaking up along the mountainside. The flats are mostly owned by locals, some living there year-round but many others only visiting on weekends and holidays. Guest access Our studio is an idyllic base camp for exploring the lesser-visited northern coast of Tenerife. It takes less than a minute to walk down to the natural pools in the village. There is ramp access throughout. Just above the pools are the local restaurant and a cafe. There is also a small minimarket for essentials. You have bigger supermarkets 10 minutes up the hill in Tacoronte. There is a fantastic fruit and veg market there on the weekends with local produce, including wine and cheese from small-scale producers. UNESCO world heritage town La Laguna is only a 20-minute drive away and the ancient forests of Anaga Rural Park are 30-mins away. The drive down to El Pris is spectacular but not daunting (unlike some parts of the island where you need to have a strong stomach driving around the cliff bends). The flat is on the 4th floor of a 10 story building. There is a lift/elevator. There is plenty of street parking except in the summer months when it can get busy. We have a small parking spot in the building's garage which guests are free to use, although it can only fit a very small model of car so check with us before you book your rental. There is a stunning coastal path leading to the next village along the coast, Mesa del Mar, which has a large natural pool and a black sand beach. You can walk there in 10-15 minutes. Other things to note This space is suitable for visitors who are looking for an idyllic, peaceful base for exploring Tenerife, where you can blend in with the locals. You can buy fresh fish every morning from the 'Cofradia' after the fishermen get back from their morning outings. We have taken great care to make the studio a warm, attractive space, and it is filled with personal artwork by the owner.
